Well, for me September is almost double projections already ... Not in Microstock of course ... the microstock checks do make bad months look better though :/ I'm not sure how some of you guys that depend on microstock income are surviving really.

You just have to make sure that the worst month of the year is still a good month compared to a regular job.

I never thought I would get a zero day with SS but now I fight just to get a single download on Saturday/Sunday! When the day comes that we a happy with a single download on weekday most of us will be working for a burger joint :-\

All subs? That would be $8.25, say an even $10.
Multiply by 18 to get 3 years worth of income and divide by however many hours it took for you to upload those images.
Then you can be the judge of whether it's good or not for you.

Then use that number. :)
Only you can decide whether the payoff seems to be worth your time or not. You will only really know 1-2 years from now of course, but you can always make an educated guess.
Since no two photographers (should) have the same images it's kind of pointless to compare. 100 perfect advertiser-friendly people portraits with good tagging may be worth more than 10,000 average snapshots from a beach vacation.

clearly we know already that make a nice income is practically impossible...what surprise me is that i'm not selling zero...all my best images , those who have more than 300 dl....still sell practically every day or one day or two....everythig uploaded after february 2017 is not selling apart one two files....so for me customers exist but simply they buy only popular images, they cannot bother looking in the mess of zillion of amateur photos that are uploaded practically everyday...i m shooting food recently...not for ss but more for insta and a blog page...what surprises me is the mess of the search engine.
that's why established big agency who sold a lot in past still keep selling the same images.
personally i hope they kill popular search tabs and keep only new and relevant, with more focus on " same author images / similarity"....with popular r tabs selling new images is practically impossible, only if they sell right when uploaded maybe they can have success, if not they got buried in 2 hours.
