Ok so I had my hopes up for stockphotospot.com because $1 an upload sounded great to me, plus the 20 cents per download...but I have heard by so many that it is a scam. So are there any sites like it or better, but are real? I like the thought of a pay per upload kind of deal  Cheesy But so far this scam site is the only one I have found  Huh Can anyone help me out?

Also if you have been scammed by stockphotospot please go to the link below and report it, please be sure to tell me if you do because now now I'm anxious to find out if its a scam  Roll Eyes

Question: How do you know it is a "scam"? Personal experience? It could just be a horrible business model ($59.95 for unlimited downloads) and not actually intending to scam people.

I have heard so many photographers say they never been compensated. There are even topics on this site where many are saying the same thing.  The only personal experience I have had so far that matched anyone elses is the fact that they have never emailed me back about anything.

I don't have pictures there so I am not going to point fingers, but for others experience, check out

THIS THREAD

and then check out

THIS PERSONS GALLERY on stockphotospot.  (check out the image descriptions or title)

Doesn't look too promising to me.

If you have at least 1500 images to upload, you can get paid to upload at Albumo. Upload that many by the end of the month and you can get a payout of $75. Upload more and get up to $250. You can get a $25 credit for just 250 images, but then you are going to have to wait on sales to get to the $75 min. payout.

If you want to give it a try, here's my link. http://albumo.com/affiliate-referral/400/portfolio

Thanks for the info links Leaf, I hadn't previously seen these threads.

As with most industries; there are credible companies, and there are the sharks. I don't think I will be dipping my toes in the SPS pond :-)

This is a great forum for weeding out the bad from the good, thanks!

Great info so far, I will have to try them out. Sadly many of my pictures are up on SPS and I don't like the idea that I am a victim of theft so I may go and contact the IFCC soon, or wait to see if I get paid.

Stockphotospot is a bad business and I am working on collecting enough info to report them with the Better Business Bureau.

They claim to pay $1-$2, they pay 10c per upload, they claim to provide customer support and guarantee a contact within 24 hours, I have been trying to reach anyone by email for the past year. Completely ignorant.

I uploaded my photos six month ago, but did not get paiD yet.

Their website will list the same photos under "new arrivals" and "most popular" -

the list is endless.

Spread the world and do not deal with a crappy business.

I do my job 100% and expect same from others, drives me up to the wall when it is not the case.

For any info e-mail me to [email protected]
