Hey fellow stock grinders,

I just put together this article on using Google Trends and would be curious to know if anybody here it or anything similar to find what's trending/may trend using their trending algos via Google web searches? Link to post:

I'm not sure you need a super intelligent system to know that Bitcoin and Megan Markle were going to be huge. Sledgehammer for a nut really.

Actually, you are just trying to get traffic to your site. Be honest.  ;)

Of course I am, but I think there's some value in some of the research I've been doing in the past few days on trends.

It's more useful than the latest-trending "Caps" theories discussions on here...

The agency newsletters and blogs are always pushing trends so they must think it's a good thing as regards to buyers needs, not something you want to totally ignore.

They do but I think its more important to keep aware of whats going on in the "outside" world....for example if you do food what ever the latest emerging "superfood" is newly fashionable travel destinations  what the emerging technologies are etc. Google analytics can only analyze the past...predicting the future is more productive but harder of course
