First of all sorry for my english (so no comments about spelling...  ;)

Dont you think this industry is going worse for us? Subscriptions, search engines, long upload  process...
Sometimes I think that for some sites, we are enemies.

If we complain as the recent example of fotolia, do we get something? 100 or 200 guys stop uploading make the diference? I imagine them laughing in front of the monitor.
Sometimes a top member raises the voice and they pay attention.

As these things happens our earinings decrease (or perhaps increase but investing more time and money than the necessary, so decrease)

But will the sites hear someone with a portfolio 500.000 images? If that person say that it is not healthy for his business to get paid 0,25 usd per image and threaten the sites with moving his portfolio or, why not? creating its own microstock site... will the sites react?
That person can have big power to negotiate.

That person can represent other peoples portfolios. For example how much images do we have here at msg? 1478 members x average portfolio... Im sure that Leaf has the way to calculate dreamstime (for example) portfolios of the members ;D

Does World Stock Photographers Association (WSPA) exists?  ;D

It is just a thought  :)

PS: dont know how it sound... Why dont you all learn spanish???  :D

"Does World Stock Photographers Association (WSPA) exists?"

Yes it does! I am the president, the treasurer too.
Anyone wishing to join send me $100.00 into my PayPal acct.

I will send you a "Certificate of Membership" I "Hand Crafted" in Photoshop which is suitable for framing.
I will also send you a link to a JPG of a membership card I designed, that you can right click to DL and print out.

If you act within the next 30 days, I will extend the regular 3 month membership to 6 months (a $100 value)

I've heard the idea of a Microstock Union before, but you'd have to get enough people on board to really make a difference, and they'd have to present a united front. Not an easy thing.
The members would also have to be prepared to risk their livelihood in order to get things changed.
I was going to say that you'd have to get some of the big guys on board, but they are the ones with most to lose so least likely to risk it all.
Maybe you'd need as many small time uploaders as possible, as they could be more prepared to leave the unfair agencies?
