Title: Subjective Keywords
Post by: theendup on December 26, 2018, 17:10
Hello,

I have seen many people using subjective adjectives as keywords.

Since i have been working on vector backgrounds lately, I would like to hear your opinions on subjective keywords especially using for backgrounds like "cool", "beautiful", "stylish", "creative" etc.

Do we have any data these keywords are used in searches a lot? What is your practice on using them? Do you think using them might be considered spam?

Some agencies suggest using them and say they are helpful for searches. Other agencies, like CS, reject files for having keywords they can't physically see in the photo. Judging by this I'd say they are important because CS knows nothing about selling photos and it's generally a good idea to do the exact opposite of whatever they suggest.

when looking for photos, I often search by style words like retro, grunge old.  I feel that beautiful and cool could also fit into a similar style category and would say it is valuable to add them if they are relevant.
