When do you reckon the summer slowdown starts and for how long in your experience, approximately?

It appears to have started early this year - in May.  Usually lasts until late August or early September when designers begin gearing up for the holidays.

This year seems different than past years to me though.  Slowdown started earlier and more extreme than in the past. 

Not sure how much is summer slowdown and how much is other factors like market saturation, general economic malaise, etc.

For me the Summer slowdown began Jan 1st and will end about August 1 which will be when the Back to School slowdown will start and then end on November 1 when the Holiday slowdown begins and runs until January 1.

Started at June last year, no idea when it is going to end.

In my limited experience (year and a half or so)...

2009:
March - great
April - big drop
May - back to March level
June - great rise over May
July - flat to June
August - flat to June
Sept - good rise

2010:
March - great
April - big drop
May - back to March level
June - slight rise over May so far
