Interesting. This image appears on the iStock title page from time to time, and underneath it says 'Exclusive to iStock' photography. And yet the same image is available on Bigstock.   :)

And on some other sites also.. ahum...

Patrick.

OK, I want to play but I haven't found any sales yet.  So here's one of mine that traveled across the united states from one new station to another with "30 photos that make you go awwww".  They were everywhere!  I was right up there next to Getty Image pics so I was proud.  Been in the local paper for fire shots as well, but nothing I was paid for.

Thanks for letting me play!  ;D

I saw a freezing pictures penguin the other day in a national Norwegian paper... it was used as an add for some enviromentally friendly global warming crisis product. :)

My German is very rusty, so please help me (PM if you wish).  Is it about night flights allowed in Cologne Airport?

it sure seems like norwegian newspapers have caught on to microstock.

Taking a look at Norway's largest newspaper's website, they have images from both scanstockphoto and crestock.

The one on top is mine:

And many other images from FT:

I really appreciate how German designers give credit to photographers!

I recently made a blogpost about two finds of the same picture: http://mellimage.blogspot.com/2008/03/picture-in-use-curious-guinea-pig.html

One of my guinea pigs was used in a German magazine and also in the magazine the Zoogoer (Washington DC), though I have not seen it in that magazine (someone on Istock told me about that).

A friend of my sons sent him a cell phone pic after seeing his photo in Los Angeles Magazine.  We were shocked and then laughed our heads off.  My sons name is Jim, yet the writer named him "Craig".  The one page article is hilarious.

Mag cover: Los Angeles - April 2008

Full page:

My image: "Craig"

Another image of mine was sent to me from iStock.  The gardening trowel in the photo is mine.

BTW, how do you guys find your images posted in German magazines???

Congrats cdwheatley!   Judging from our other conversation, is this Mrs. cdwheatley?  LOL, how does she feel about appearing on a liposuction billboard?

LOL..I asked her the same question. She said it was ok as long at it was in reference to a "post" liposuction look. I've been calling her "Lipo woman" this week  :P
