It seems like the norwegian newspaper Vart Land has started using a few istock images.  I there is usually between 0-3 images used each day.  They also buy from macro stock agencies, Scanpix (a major scandinavian agency). Here is a page with 2 istock images.. i couldn't find out whose they were though.

Google your photographer name and you might find some of your images. My name is rare in google, so that works well for me, however, it might be hard to find some of your images if you have a common name..

also, once the search reults show up, click on the 'images' link (on the top).. this will show you all images related with those keywords.

Unfortunately Google returned only my portfolios at stock photo sites (I looked at the first 5 pages only) and the images link returned irrelevant results.  Sad

I saw an ad on a newspaper magazine today which used graphics that I think come from stock photo sites (at least they are very similar in style with what we see).  I'll photograph them and post them here.

Adelaide

I just found one of my images (purchased from Fotolia) being used on a church website.  It's nice to be able to find one every once in a while.

Here is the original image:

http://www.fotolia.com/id/771275

And here is the website that it is being used on:

Geopappas - the church website is probably wondering why it is getting so many hits.  NOt sure how the second fotolia "similia" photo relates though

yeah, it looks good on there.

It is nice to see companies, or organizations with a budget of basically zero making use of microstock.  That is what it is there for I think.

So far i manage to locate my photo on 11 sites/articles.

The most outrageous photo must be on this gay/lesbian site.
http://content.onlineagency.com/c/3/3072/936043_3072.htm

Had a good laugh over it.

Another site I found, someone uses my photo and make them available for purchase on T-shirt.
Send an email to the company and they stop it.

I have just started doing some photography for a real estate photography company, and they have some images which we can use for sky background when we end up photographing a house on a cloudy day.  I was looking at the images that were avaialbe and many had the name istock2839... and so on... so they were obviously downloaded at istock.

another use of our images. Smiley

First time I find one of mine! Purchased from Fotolia, like all the images in the site.  I'll do my best in German to write them a thank you note. Smiley

Interesting. This image appears on the iStock title page from time to time, and underneath it says 'Exclusive to iStock' photography. And yet the same image is available on Bigstock.   Smiley

Finally found one of mine, purchased from Fotolia.

http://www.bunnyburybaby.com/Baby-Gift-Baskets.html

It's the image used for the 'Baskets for Parents' section.

This photographer isn't exclusive on Istock--I just checked.  It's possible he/she was once exclusive, but at the moment is not.

Ok, gang, this is a strange one. These two shots were bought from Fotolia. (Used FP, link to FT wasn't easy)

Somebody bought both and turned it into this...

What do you think?

Are you asking about the legality of it or the transformation abuse?

Legally, I wonder if the person who bought your copyrighted image (Marco Piono?) can use it and claim another copyright for a collage he made.  I am not an expert in that field.

Aesthetically, I find this montage weird and disturbing.  Everyone their taste I suppose.  I like the original pictures.
