This December has been my bme on Shutterstock with 74 downloads with a port of 250 files only. How many downloads have you reached till today of
This month?

Surprisingly, this December is my best month ever on SS as well, thanks to some nice video sales and SOD's.

Hopefully it isn't because you were contacted by some guy promising to increase your sales on facebook ...

For me, so far it's the lowest sales number since 2011 - pretty pathetic - but earnings are average due to SODs, ELs and clip sales.

That's funny Steve - i am going the "same direction" - down, down, down. After over 10 years of contribution to SS this is my worst december ever. And no doubt: November also was one of the poorest months within those ten years (for me). So yes, there is a significant trend ... DOWN. So sad ...

Down. Worst month since 2012. Income reduced to some 30% of the best month in 2014 and some 50% of long average (2008-2016) But at that time my port was a less then half of todays size (some 8000 images).

worst month of here despite hard work...till november 15 i grow even week, after that falling down....i had big sales every month...this december only subscription. poor record of 2,85...nothing single above 7 dollar.
don't know what to think. the more you work the less you earn.
my only hope is stocksy and offset for next year.
microstock will see only the garbage of shooting from me.
i saw the last 15 page of images uploaded for christmas, am speechless. not even snapshot. most stuff uploaded won't even pass as snapshots in free image agency. unbelievable.

When we Will get to see your spectacular port?

But I agree, very strange that your sales are down, since your images are superior to others's.

Pretty crappy month for me but I'm already looking towards next year.

Here's my year-end review and some goals I've set for myself next year.

Overall I'm quite optimistic but then I'm not only looking at Micros.

Happy new year, co-workers / colleagues  :D

well considering your portfolio for me and some other seen here, i'k still puzzled. i earn not much more than you. try submit your images to respectable agency, like redux picture, offset or aurora and see their answer.

down down down since over one year. I have no hope this will change in foreseeable time. All other agencies have normal downloads, but this is not enough to hold the level I have reached a year before.

Where do you get notification of ELs in real time? General suspicion (unconfirmed/undenied by admin) was that ELs have gone, but maybe the inexplicably big sales we sometimes get are 'what used to be ELs', but with no notification as such.

The buyer later got in touch with me via my email and confirmed he bought 4 but he must have ended up buying 6 because they are quite similar and judging by what he told me he paid it can only have been EL's!

Oh, right!

I know you try but all we can do is point out the impossible and hope that others don't believe the troll. IS Els in real time, buyers who have direct contact, soon after. The incredible Derek who does the impossible, nearly every day.  ;D Might be possible but I've never had a buyer contact me after any IS sale? And never had ELs in real time since ESP. Unbelievable is literal from some people.

"Oh, right" is a marginally modified version of that famous 'double positive making a negative' "Aye, right" or "Yeah, right". Marginally modified only because I did once have an iS buyer contact me waaaay back in the day to tell me he was an American but his wife was from my part of the world and attached a photo of one of my photos hugely blown up in their dining room (and all I could think of was, "what must that look like, it's only 3456 x 2304!"). [Funnily enough my second ever upload, which way back then sold well for a while, including the day after it went 'live' (those were the days!), and had me doing sums on the back of an envelope with crazy projections of what I could earn - hah! But after ages in the doldrums, I noticed it sold in Nov '17!].

I hate to drag this thread back to the OPs post but it's not my best month, or worst, (same for the year I'm pretty sure) but neither was anything good to brag about either. My numbers run about the same as the poll, even with different materials on the sites and nearly no videos yet. I think that for now still photos are just over supplied but there's still room for more video. Illustrations I don't know, but when I see individual accounts with over 1 Million illustrations, I think that's got to hurt.

OK made me look. I had to go back to 2012 for a worse December on SS. And before that I had much different material, in smaller numbers, so it wouldn't be fair to compare any of those years. IS has gone South since ESP and Getty came in full force. FT has continued to improve as I upload more and new. Alamy I had the most sales ever and made less money, there goes that place for the big DLs. DT I'm paying attention again after ignoring for years. Might as well make something instead of nothing, but I don't have high expectations.

Mostly what I'd like to try, seriously for just one time, is self hosted. I still haven't found the software that works. I'm not a fan of WordPress as the base of everything, sorry. But if someone says yes, here's the best and it works, I'm willing to be open minded. Self Hosted means on one of my already existing websites that I already pay for, not that I pay someone else for throwing my work into a big pool and ignoring it.

Where's K-Tools these days?
