Hi all,

Is there any free applications or website to monitor sales and trends base on our own sales data over different microstock agencies?

I remember there is a website that you can key in your own sales data and plot the graph..

I know it can be done by excel, but any online website or tool?

mtkang, any reason why you don't use excel? it's quite easy to set up a simple spreadsheet and then use various pivot tables and pivot graphs to analyse your data.

EDIT: What I mean was.. need a hand?

i found that it is easier if everything is on internet..

Do you find it is more useful to use an excel file?

I am able to log in microstockchart.com now, i find it is okay for me..all i want is to take a look what i had earned from all website last month.. compare which website make most in certain month.. and it is accessible wherever i am.

But it doesn't work for ShutterStock, the largest seller for most, certainly in number of sales. Until then, it's pretty useless.

Shutterstock makes up the vast majority of my earnings and donwloads. For a proper analysis on the level of images and especially shoots, it is vital. The other ones are Dreamstime and iStock but they have tools onsite to quickly evaluate sales per image.
Probably the main reason most of your users don't care about Shutterstock is a selection artifact because people that do care about ShutterStock (like me) won't even sign up. I enjoyed Lookstat long ago when SS, IS and DT were there, but after SS went, it wasn't of much use any more.

Fair point on selection bias. Nevertheless, I'm confident all users learn something from istock, whether you're exclusive or not.

Why don't you reactivate your account and I can run a quick analysis for you?

I don't like the idea of having my earning online for one. I know that you can make your data "private" but is it really? The webmasters sure can see it and are they or will they ever be shared with third parties?

...and yeah I find it more useful on an excel file because I can alalyse the data how I want. For instance, from my basic table, I have a pivot table and chart that show these:
- sales by image
- sales by month and agent
- sales by agent and month
- sales by resolution

I also click on a figure in a one of the pivot tables and it lists all the items that make up that figure so I can further analyse that.

On the same spreadsheet, I can also update sales for PODs as well as microstock and sales for competitions and compare them to microstock.

it is true that online data is not secured, when i log in by using facebook account, i will asked to be allowed to get information from facebook profile blah blah..

well, maybe keeping on own hard disk is a secured way if you don't want it to be published.
