Last year SS was my best earner, but this year IS has improved about 50% for me while SS has gone downhill. Most probably because I'm not a prolific shooter, so am not constantly uploading to Shutterstock, which seems the best way to keep up a regular income there.

In fact so far this month I have had more downloads (not income) at IS than SS for the first time ever.

Istock has always been my top earner, although it is more like a third of my sales now and used to be more like half.

My vote for IS may be biased, as I am not in SS.

Used to be iStock but my sales there have dropped a whopping 50% in the past six months.
Now its SS.
And I'm earning 2.5 times more there than at IS ATM, partly due to the fact that I'm finding it bloody difficult to get images past the review process and once they are accepted they just sit there. New images just don't sell at IS Sad

The other sites are variable, but I must say I'm experiencing a real surge at FT this month with 3 times my normal revenue!

Istock have fallen way behind for me. They don't like my illustrations, so my portfolio is much smaller there. Shame, because they sell really well on the other sites.

It used to be FT a month ago, but since they changed their search engine, no SS is my top earner.
