Microstock Group - A meeting place for microstock photographers

I thought it would be interesting to get an idea how long most of us have been involved in microstock.

So vote to when you uploaded your first microstock image.

I started in Feb 05, with Shutterstock. I earned a grant total of 89c in that first month!

I joined iStock in late 2005 (as a buyer) and started submitting in mid-2007

First uploaded Aug 2006

Fotolia. I think it was 18th January 2008.

Joined 2004 with DT by clicking on DT banner placed on web site "the best brands of the world" and start uploading 2005.

First upload was to BigStock in January 2009.

2006 - shutterstock

- 2005 I started buying so my status is quite old on some sites.
- 2006 (barely) with DT & FT
- 2007 Started to make some $ and joined the rest
- 2008 Joined Zym, likely my last new site unless something exciting turns up
- 2009 I've had an account at Canstock for years, I plan to actually upload some photos this year
- 2009 May upload to my Alamay account, although I doubt I will ever produce the volume for this site to have much effect for me.

January 2006 in IS, followed by DT, SPM, SXP, BSP and FT (I don't remember in which order).

Started at DT in June '08 with ten landscape/nature images.  All were accepted and I have rapidly worked my way down ever since.  

So much for success breeds success.  

Started with BSP June 21, 2006 with this photo:



It has been sold 3 times.
Today I would not start out on any site with a nature shot but 4 out of five were accepted. After my first month of $30.00 plus earnings I have never missed a monthly check since then. (30.00 to 75+)

Very steady earner for me.
