Title: Where are my Stats?
Post by: nazlisart on May 15, 2017, 23:17
Since yesterday I can't seem to find the Stats page on iStock.
What little daily feedback I had from this agency is gone...
ESP updates our stats monthly and for some time now I
have no clue which files are selling and how successful or not
are my latest files.

My income from iStock/Getty has gone up lately but I have lost
my connection with them... (I see no need to have their site pinned
in my browser as I have for every other major earner to check out daily)

Did you also loose access to your IS stats page? and more importantly:
Do you know what are they planing to do about daily stats and image sales info?

Thanks

1. If you mean the charts showing credit sales, they have been saying for weeks that they are inaccurate (so where we're they coming from?)  Yesterday they officially disabled them.

2. This month, next month, sometime, never. I think 'never'. AFAIK, they never promised daily stats, indeed 'unification' was to bring iS into line with Getty, who do monthly stats only AIUI. IIRC, they promised us 'better' stats at some point, but you must know by now what an iS/Getty promise is worth. The Getty stats are so bad, that is why todayis20 was produced by and for Getty suppliers.

Note that times at Getty are so bad they now have Google ads on their home page and on file pages. Cheap, nasty and smacks of desperation, even if most sensible people are using ad blockers.

Since when Getty isn't bad (http://video-stock.org/contributors-leaving-istockphoto-getty-images-is-for-the-best-of-whole-stock-industry/)? Their crap has being going on since they bought istockphoto and destroy it.

DeepMeta 3 now includes some useful stats, calculated from the monthly files downloaded from the ESP site - something like todayis20 but all automatic, with lots of pie charts and stuff.  It will show the top 250 sales in $$s or DLs too.

Not the daily stats we'd all like but good stuff and nicely integrated.

See https://www.deepmeta.com/Downloads/ (https://www.deepmeta.com/Downloads/).

Thank you!!!!

I didn't know about "todayis20" and I'm pretty excited to have register and finally have some clue on how I'm doing on IS!

I can not fathom how IS/GI is still my second earners (and in the top 4 for almost everybody) having a business that has outsourced to volunteers their everyday relationship with their contributors (Uploading & Stats is mostly why we visit their site).

I don't think they outsourced the work to volunteers so much as some Getty contributers were so frustrated that they took matters into their own hands, and made their work available to others.
Deep Meta originally was the same, but the author AIUI is now employed by Getty, or on a contract or some official deal anyway.
