Hello,
considering how things go, I think many of us are facing the sames questions about the strategy for the best future. I hope this poll is well formulated enough, being not anglosaxon native.

Please choose the nearest answer that corresponds to your reality.
2 votes possible, but 1 preferred for better consistency.
Poll active for 30 days.
Thanks!!! :)

Interesting poll.

As for what I consider my "best images", unfortunately they rarely translate in being the most profitable.

My best images are sold directly to my customers.
I don't even think a second to put them on a web site.

My most highly sellable images I only sell through my own business stock/print website or direct to clients at premium prices. Stuff that's oversaturated in micro I submit to micro.

Do you consider them as stock images?
If not, I placed this poll in the good section : "General Stock Discussion" ;)

Very interesting poll and thank you for creating it.

I have so many sitting on my hard drive now. I don't know where to put them. I was really hoping to get into stocksy.

You should be, you deserve it (more than some already being there IMHO)

I totally agree, there is a subtile and nice taste in your work.

Oligo is French and in french they use numrique , not "digital"
So, I think he wanted to say "non digital media", like magazines, catalogs, brochures

So far it looks like most of us (me included) have no idea what our best is nor what to do with it.

When I click on "view results" it doesn't show me the results, just the same list with boxes for selection. This should be fixed.

Much more than the term of "best images", I would use the term "most valuabale", and I would divise them in three categories:

-no value (they look nice, but no particular meaning, and no potential of any use)==> no use at all, except for one or two to fill in a portfolio, or a photo contest
-valuable asset: I would put them on microstock.
-outstanding valuable asset: pictures that have been made on request (for a client for instance), that are only meaningful in bulk (for instance a series for a documentary), or whose topic could be sensitive (my last issue about this topic: children refugees, for instance)

For the last category, I would actually lose a lot if I were uploading the pictures on microstock platforms. Maybe not financially, but in terms of image and reputation. On my journalistic works, it could even be in some case a pretty big violation of the code of ethics.

I put on sites where the photos match best what sells micro and keep best for macro or direct sales.
