Alamy allows multiple pseudonyms under a single account which is a good way dividing work which is completely different or which is likely to rank completely differently.

Thanks I was aware of Alamy (one of many reasons I like them so much) but my question was more aimed at Microstock-sites. The reason you gave is the reason I would like to split some of my work I'm aware of the downsides (lower commissions/rank) but it looks to me that homogeneous portfolios do perform considerly better in average. So I would like to split at least my studio-work from the rest of my stuff because it's entirely different from the rest I submit.

Really? Buyers care what account things come from on Micro? Seems like not only rank but pay and views would all suffer by splitting into multiple accounts?

And I think SS doesn't allow more than one account, but there are some people with a personal and an agency account. The agency has multiple people under one name, the personal is only their own work. So assume the third version would be someone with a personal account who submits to one of the group/agency accounts.

Maybe the question is, does any agency encourage people to have multiple accounts?

And no... Alamy is just pseudonyms, they are all under one account, one payment, one ID Etc. The pseudonym does appear in the credit line which is nice. You can get ranked individually which may or may not help one, but then it would logically hurt the other? I have three. One for RM, one for RF and one for Editorial. It's just a way for me to keep things segmented, I don't see any advantage. Well maybe. My RF photos aren't dragging down the editorial. Unfortunately for that "master plan" I have sold some RF for the same prices as Editorial, so not the expected effect, I may be losing out.

Too much worry about views and zooms, people buy what they need and most of my images on Alamy are very, very, specific subjects. Might be better for people who shoot things that are common. In which case, they probably don't sell well anyway? Competition is high and demand is lower for common items.
