I know SS search favor new pictures so you have to keep uploading regularly to be visible. Do you think other sites got similar search algorithms?

To a degree I would say almost every site has that. But I could be mistaken with Fotolia and Dreamstime

I agree that to some degree all sites need that.

However the most sensitive to new uploads are Shutterstock, Stockxpert and Dreamstime (at least for me).

Sounds like right. I haven't uploaded anything to StockXpert for couple days and sales seem to slow down...

Not sure about Dreamstime - on the occasion where I stopped uploading there for a couple of months, sales actually went up slightly. I think the DL's per image plays a factor in their best match equation, and I suspect that it may also with IS.

I haven't uploaded to Dreamstime for about 3 months now (while waiting for my 6 month tie-in to end). After the first month my sales were pretty much as usual, but after 3 months my sales have almost halved. The fact that I've been deleting my portfolio (as quickly as Dreamstime will allow) certainly hasn't helped matters though, lol.  Grin
