Title: Will blockchain technology be good for photographers?
Post by: sharpshot on August 30, 2017, 02:00
Interesting to see some services starting up for photographers using blockchain technology.  Could be exciting times again if someone can get this right.  I like the idea of selling limited digital editions.  Here's some links to look at.

Found this about art, I can see how it could be used for selling stock image licences, the first site to get this right could be on to a good thing.  There's so many people starting new sites that are all the same, surely someone will try this instead? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynSdOB8oV_c (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynSdOB8oV_c)

The comments in the Petapixel article (which is about a year old now) are quite interesting. They include comments from legal experts who've been involved in copyright infringement cases for years.
