I think it´s sad we let the big companies control us.  It´s the same with everything nowadays....

I do as everyone else "wait and see".  Let the loosers dig for gold, so we can step in and take it, when found.

Sad, lazy and true...

/ Cheers

Too many sites with too many the same photos for too many of the same business model... I wouldn´t waste my time... And I haven´t... I skipped LuckyO (I was right) and I am currently leaving alone Snapvillage, Yay and every other... Indeed, I feel that market is oversaturaded and with the advent of subscription all over it has become a "thanks, but no thanks" These last months Alamy has proved far superior than everything else, with far less work.

Scary.  I wonder if one of them is the same control-freak person I know who moves from micro site to micro site pretending to be an expert, but can't even shoot a decent photograph.

That's the one.

Not to sure how uploading to new sites helps us. Wouldn't the competition between the sites just drive prices down? If there are 3 guys on the block selling the same t-shirts they can probably charge a fair price or higher price providing the demand is high. If there are 100 guys on the block selling the same t-shirts then what happens?..... Thats right! We get screwed  Sad. Is this logic flawed?

Also, I've noticed on certain sites that have lower prices I tend to sell XL's in bunches, sometimes with very few views and many downloads. This tells me that people are shopping at site A and buying at site B. Can't just be coincidence.

I 've just joined Most Photo from reading about it in another thread on this forum. Reason: I like the type of photos the contributors submit,
and the money if it ever sells is good.
My port there is entirely different from my micro sites,
it's a change, and I like the interactivity where other photographers can comment on your work. It's a good network of ppl with the same love for photography. here's my new port if you like to visit

oh another thing, zoom in on my photo of the fish on a hook with the pliers  http://www.mostphotos.com/329261
see how the watermark covers the entire image.
i think that's full marks for a good watermark. don't you agree?
cheers.
