 :(

As the title says, how were your sales last month and so far this month? as compared to the preceeding month's
Mine seemed to have tanked... absolute zero for two months, thought it's a small port. I want to know if it's an isolated thing (maybe my footage isnt exactly "sellable") or more general

With small ports, you really can't tell anything. SS & VB have been "normal" for me, but Fotolia is entirely gone. I had sales in each of the first 3 months of this year there, but haven't had a single sale since March. My FT port is still quite small, though (< 400 files). I fear I haven't been growing it enough to keep up with the flood of new submissions.

Very slow for me too. Shutterstock video in decline and VB dropped to zero after a good start.

For me, it FEELS like SS, Fotolia and VB have picked up a little bit and P5 declined. I only have a small/medium port (5-600) so can't tell for sure.

I have already best month ever on Shutterstock although it's even not middle of a month yet. Pond is almost dead. Videoblocks is the same to whole previous month already.

SS and macrostock sales more than made up for the lack of sales at P5.

Big drop on SS this month, but my sales are always erratic there. Slight drop on iS, massive drop on Fotolia, normal sales on VB, slight increase on P5.

April was horrible on SS, had a 15% drop. May seems to be back to normal

For me, this month is not good on SS. Sales in the last month and this fell slightly.

Great to hear that everyone's experience has differed a bit.
I was getting rather discouraged and hadn't been uploading as much as I should...
Now I have to re-motivate myself  :D :D

From when I started at the beginning of 2015 to now, I've learned that as my port grows, so does the consistency in sales.  You never know what editors might be looking for in any particular month, so the higher quantity of diverse clips you have, the more constant sales you have.  At least that's what I've observed.

SS is normal. 7 sales so far in May. Pond5 has completely tanked. 1 sale over the past month. Both agencies have equal amount of clips.

Got a 4K sale at SS last night, so it's now a small drop over last month, compared to a big drop!

Slight drop at VB and SS and dead at pond.  SS has dropped more than VB but pond is like it's gone now.

Sales doing OK at both but something weird going on at Videoblocks. My latest payout was $47 too much - must have been a clip that sold but didn't show up in my Finances section. Also sold an HD file today but only got a commission of $33, what's all that about?! I'm not subject to US tax witholding. I've emailed support.

For some reason I've always seen those sales bursts at Videoblocks, go weeks without a sale and then ten sales and then nothing.  Was a steady stream of sales a year ago, now it's dropped and we have these bursts of sales and then dead quiet for weeks.  Maybe it has something to do with their advertising, when they advertise more we get a burst of sales and when they don't it goes quiet.

That's basically me in a nutshell. I had high hopes for VB but it is not doing what we all had hoped, for me anyway.  With ME and P5 in the dump, I am really only selling any clips on SS.  I haven't bothered uploading anymore clips to P5 since I got a blanket rejection of 100 clips.  It it too time consuming to upload there as their CSV never works and you end up preparing each clip one by one.  Way too much work for the treatment, high rejection, high workload, low returns.  P5.....you have ruined your business model.

March was my best month ever, April was little higher than average and i have good start on May.
Shutterstock BME on March after 5 bad months  (October - February).
Pond5 is maybe most stable with same average starting from 2014.
Fotolia sales growing slowly this year.
Videoblocks is stable too for me and almost equal as Pond5 in month average.

SS is really bad this month.

VB nothing this month until today when I woke up to an HD and a 4K sale. First 4K sale there for me, and at $199 I'd like more of those.  :D
