Title: Is Adobe Stock good for selling footage?
Post by: AnimatedStockFootage on November 21, 2017, 05:23
Where does Adobe Stock stand compared to Pond5, Shutterstock and Storyblocks? (For video footage only)

In our case it is low-mid earner. While Pond is mid-high and SS is high earner. We see some improvement in sales at Adobe stock, but it is still very unstable earner. Oh, Storyblocks is crap compare to it.

I thought you'd boycotted Storyblocks? Or are you talking from a 'your feelings on them as an agency' point of view, rather than actual sales figures?

I removed my videos from fotolia after some $3-4 sales. I earn much more for the same files elsewhere so it didn't make sense to "cannibalize" them. I LOVE pond5. I've had 2 sales at videoblocks with around 20 videos. I joined just recently ... Hope this helps with some insight.

we tried a set of about 2k files for another test if anything changed. It still earns only $33 per clip (which is worse than Pond, and just little better than SS) and sales are rarer than winning a lottery ticket.

Second best site for me, just a little bit less than Pond5 and Shutterstock combined.

Fotolia/Adobe don't take editorial so I hardly upload video there.

Shutterstock seem to have a roll in rejections for noise/pixelation where there is none so I put all my video to Pond5 now.

It's not good.  Please don't submit your videos there because it will crowd the market and decrease my sales.

Thank you.

Strange.
I never had a video sale at FT/AD for less than $28 and often have sales at $70

I have only about 100 files, but Adobe Stock is doing fine. For me SS >AS>Pond5>IS>VB. For IS, since you will get those ridiculous 80cents video download, I don't contribute there anymore.

I listed 50 clips about two months ago and haven’t had a sale yet, but some of the shots are alternate angles so they just might not be in demand.

Interesting to see that it has become such a high earner for some though. Will get my port up soon.

My second best earner to P5...seems like it is picking up too.

Almost 5,000 mostly 4K files.

Can anybody tell what are the prices for footage on Adobe stock? I can't seem to find proper information.

I like uploading to Adobe Stock but wish they'd earn more.  For me Pond5 and Shutterstock are the highest and earners and then Adobe Stock and Storyblocks compete for 3rd and 4th, but earn a lot less than the top 2.  Adobe Stock is starting do better each month though.

Not good.  Please don't add any more contents there.  It's already saturated.
