Happy new year everybody.  Hope y'all are doing well.

I see Pond5 sales prices are discounted by up to nearly 20% from the price I set.  I wonder if I should raise my price to offset the loss of my royalty.  They are doing this to increase overall volume of sales obviously, but I hope my sales will increase too.  If not, it's a bad thing for us.

I've had plenty go at the slightly discounted rate. However sold a few at higher rates than previously possible as well, so I think it's better now than it was before overall

Most of the discounts that are seen are the discounts given to customers who have bought a membership package and want to buy a clip which is not in the membership plan. They are given an automatic discount - which is "usually" 10%

I would advise that if you want to circumvent this, simply raise your prices - that's what I did.

In fact I've raised my prices by 10% 3 times this last year as I have not seen any slowdown in sales each time I did it.
This last 12 months I've noticed that prices have generally gone up and contributors who still insist on pricing at low levels are simply throwing money away.
This is IMHO of course.  :D

Yes, I was thinking about raising my price because they are giving lower price to some customers.  They should've kept our commission amount the same when they give discount to bulk customers.  I just hope that increase in volume will increase total revenue for me, but ideally if more people buy at VideoBlocks, my revenue will increase because I get the highest commission per clip sales at VideoBlocks.

In the past, when Pond5 had 10% off sale, they kept our commission per clip the same.  Now they are taking our commission off when they give bulk customers discount.  That ain't right.
