Noobish question Eps vector converting for micro sites (program)

Sorry guys I've got bad brain fog so please stick with me.

I have all vector ai and eps files.

Most of the micro sites take various size jpgs right?

Is there a program (mac) that converts images to suit theses sites?

Or is there a lit somewhere....rather than having to visit each site?

Are there any that will just take the eps and create the jpgs for you?

Whatever you used to create the vectors should be able to make them into Jpegs. Might have to look under "export as" or something like that. Can't remember about AI (should be about the same) as I have dove into Xara more for illustrations.

not the right track? I think most people just use Adobe Illustrator (for example) to make the jpgs. If they have to do a lot of jpg files, they create an action to make the various sizes.

Yes you can do that with Photoshop, but I thought there was another application.
Perhaps I'm confused with uploading apps.

I use Illustrator and export the jpeg directly from it using File>Export. You can also go to Save for web and devices but I don't use that. I only export one large jpeg and every agency(that I submit to, most of the top and middle tier and a few others) takes it.
Some want the eps and the jpeg zipped together(afaik, Fotolia, DP and Cutcaster).

You mean the small, medium, etc? Yeah they do their own from the eps(or from the jpeg, depends on agency). Just be sure to make a big enough jpeg. Anything over 8Megapixels should be good I guess.

I always save the large jpg at 4000 longest side. The small preview jpg I just leave the dimensions of the eps file.

I was trying to find the website that has all the specs for the different agencies but I can't find it so here is what I know.

BigStock EPS (they generate the jpg)
Dreamstime must upload the jpg then after it is approved you upload the EPS
Shutterstock Eps+small jpg (same file name) and 1 large jpg (different file name)
Deposit photos Eps+jpg zip file
CanStockPhotos Eps+jpg zip file
Veer Eps+jpg (same file name)

I've never uploaded vectors to iStock or Fotolia so you'll have to look on their website. I do know that you have to save the vector in EPS8 for iStock. Hope this helps with your original question.

Probably a silly question for everyone, but is there a way to know if it is worth contacting some of them or not when considering the content you are offering -eg I'm just cartoons... Hope the makes sense.

Pretty much Upload and see. Emailing support might not do anything since they are not the reviewers. If the reviewers give it their blessing...then it's in. If not...then it's rejected.

I uploaded huge batch of jpgs on Dreamstime few months ago , wanted to wait approval and upload eps files after , but they refused all because they had keyword "vector" attached.

Maybe its good to or remove that keyword from jpgs and put it later , or add eps files before review , I don't know if that is common practice or I was just "lucky" that day.
