hi, is dreamstime the only site that one can buy raw files?
are raw files available for some macrostock agencies?
i think raw files will be very useful for a good image..but i am not sure i want to put it in dreamstime that can be download by subs..
do you sell raw files in any agencies?

Wouldn't do it but that's just my opinion, btw what kind of money is offered for a raw file?

DON'T DO IT!!! I've heard on MANY occasions that a request for RAW has been sent to the photographer only to be downloaded as a sub. It's hard, but you get used to ignoring those requests. If your contact info is on your profile and they want it they can contact you privately.

If it's a credit purchase it's the difference between 10 credits for the maximum size and 20 credits for the raw (this varies - it depends on the level of the image). If it's a simple, everyday shot that isn't all that special such as an apple why not upload the raw? If someone wants to pay more for it let them have it. If they buy it with a subscription what's the difference if they buy a jpg or a raw? It's microstock, not fine art. Yeah, some think of a raw file as a digital negative but do you really need to protect your shots of subjects that are available anywhere?

raw file is much useful that a jpg and is a maximum size so it shouldn't available as sub.
some people may upload everyday snaps, but i am sure some people upload something good quality. they spend time to produce something good, that's why they care about it.

No I never sell RAW files - I think of them as my precious 'negatives' - the origin of my work that I 'add value' to through post-production. They can have my finished work, but not my original shot to tinker with.

I used to get a lot of additional format for requests for vectors (not any more as I uploaded vectors for most popular files). very often it went as a sub or just never sold (I'd guess the customer bought another file after sending the request), now I cant be bothered :) dont see a need to sell raw files at micro pricing, macro yes, not micro, they already get a 24mp of very high quality jpg and I dont need someone not bothering to clone out legal issues and me getting sued.

since raw files is useful.. have any macro agencies sell raw files as right managed license?

Well I'm one of those stupid guys selling raw files on DT, thinking on doubling maximum size price and attracting buyers, and I confess I only have sold two or three of them, and all under subscription. So I'm going to delete all of them, because the gain doesn't worth, and if I lose one subscription sale, I don't really matter.

i uploaded additional format for vector, it got downloaded as credits and sometimes subs..
only few images are with additional raw files, but when i saw raw files are with subs..i think it is too cheap.

I don't think you can get a RAW file as a sub sale, I have never seen that option anywaz. As far as credits go, RAW file cost more then the highest Res image under JPG.

You certainly used to be able to download RAW as part of a subscription package. However, I don't know if this is still the case.

Yes, subscriptions allow the purchase of RAW files. This is how it is stated on the Subscription Plans page -
Plans can download: Royalty Free, Extended licenses and Editorial images as well as JPG/TIFF, vector and RAW formats. Subscriptions do not allow Extended license downloads nor TIFF downloads.

That's an excellent point.
No it's not even a good point, it's a poor example. You can't sell an image with "legal issues" whether it's an edited JPG or a RAW, in the first place.
The end user is responsible for the end use.
