Hey MS Group,

It is just me or is CREStock really difficult to get photos approved? Is there any courses video or books that I can learn how to be accepted by these folks? So far my acceptance ratio is about 1 out of 10 where I am hitting 7 out of ten on all the other stock companies. Very weird?

Thanks.

Tom

It's not just you.  And given how well accepted images sell there, it's not worth worrying about.  I upload there as part of my mass upload, and figure whatever they accept has a (small) chance of earning something.  Gave up being bothered about their reviews a long time ago.

Totally gave up on this agency, for me at least its not worth it.

I'm surprised at such concerns about low earner sites. If they can't sell images very well doesn't it follow that they can't review very well?

Yup.. They are really lame.. They sell super low priced photos, they are over the top strict on reviews and they barely sell anything.. I'd not even waste my time.. I stopped uploading to them years ago..

I used to have no problems with reviews but I was sick of the $0.25 subs sales and in the end I asked them to remove my portfolio.  I didn't leave entirely, hoping they might one day increase their ridiculously low subs commissions but years later nothing has changed.  It's a shame, because I quite liked the site and they did spend lots on advertising but I can't support a site that has mainly $0.25 subs sales.

Absolutely right.  Sales are really, really sloooooooow there.  Not worth worrying about rejections.

Not only are they harsh/random but use quite insulting terms. I'm fairly new to this game but stopped worrying about the randomness of smaller sites.

Crestock is a complete waste of time. The review process is bizarre and insulting. Whoever is reviewing has not got the ability to see beyond their own aesthetic, so they end up with a collection that does not have broad appeal. The sales are pitiful, which is probably the best way to describe the entire site. Despite all the talk and promises, the new owners have seemed to be able to keep the very worst aspects of Crestock firmly in place.

Crestock looses where they want to earn. They pre-select the images, stating they are a long time ago in the industry and they know what and how.
Very sad, my online images are selling well, but I'm unable to upload anything new because they reject everything.

They recruited me a few years ago.  I was surprised that I had a high acceptance rate given the horror stories I had heard.

I found their website to be juvenile.  I couldn't believe the whole "Judge" thing.  Can you imagine being a buyer, going to Crestock, and seeing some ridiculous "Judge" making fun of someone's images for being inferior quality?  No wonder they never made it out of Low Tier.  I lasted about 2 months or so with them.  One day when adding up my earnings, I saw I had made $300 at Shutterstock, $200 or so at iStock, and 25 cents at Crestock.  I think I giggled for a second, then requested they close my account.  I haven't considered them since, and I find it amusing that they are still trying to entice contributors with 25 cent subscription sales.

At crestock, my rejected files are selling at the same rate as my accepted files.

Crestock 99% of my illustration.
But the sales are very disappointing compares to other lower earners like DepositPhotos and CanStock.
