Hi!

Was just wondering if I were the only one experiencing a very poor month of August so far on Canstock? I am usually getting around 100-120$ per month at Canstock. Were are at the middle of the month and I am only at 13.50$.

Is this just my case or is anyone else experiencing a slow income for August at Canstock?

August can be really slow, some sites get hit worse than others.  I'm not concerned, the autumn is usually the best time of the year for me.

At most sites, August has been much better than a normal August. Canstock has been in a steady decline since April for me and August looks like it will be the worst month there since Aug '09. Rarely get the large affiliate sales there any more.

While I have also seen a steady decline in the "Distribution Regular" downloads in amounts like $19.80, the plain vanilla sales are making up for those.

I'm having a great August at CanStock so far, with sales up about 35% vs the first 15 days of July.

July was craptastical and August is slow for me as well.  Not all the kiddies are back in school yet some start this week others don't start until September so maybe things will start to look brighter in September.  That or I just don't have what buyers are after right now  ;D

Yes, when all the kids are back to school and vacations have been taken in the Northern hemisphere, sales should start to increase and be good until a week or two before Christmas. As for my CanStockPhoto sales, they have been trending normal, creeping up a little from the expected July slump.

It's been a slow summer everywhere for me too.

At Canstock, I am already nearly at my July total, and it's only halfway through the month.  July was a slow month of course, but August at CanStockPhoto is looking to be quite a bit better.

At Shutterstock I didn't see any decrease in sales yet. Canstock been very good on July, I just guess like Duncan says, my ''luck of the draw'' this month is bad. I feel like I will do 50% less on Canstock. But still anything can happen from today and the end of the month. Nice to see at least that I am not alone :)

Thanks for the input!

While (northern) summers are always slower than the spring/fall, our August sales have been right on track. If you've had a significant decrease, then I'd attribute it to the luck of the draw - and more than likely you'll see see it bounce back again with time.

Cheers,
Duncan

Thanks for stopping by and sharing this info.  Its rare for management to comment one way or the other in the micro world (probibly macro too) and any input is greatly appricated.  I think you guys are running a great site.

Well, one US$2 sale in August, vs one US$0.50 sale in July, so August is actually great so far!  ;D

Can't be that bad, I had my first sale! Disappointed that it was only .30 for an xlarge sub, but I knew I wasn't going to get rich - especially with only 40 images there since March. Another 3 years and I should reach payout ;D (I can't find where the minimum payout is, but that's irrelevant)

$50.

I'm having an amazing month at CanStock.  Already my second best ever, with a week and a half to go.  I'm guessing it's a fluke, and expect to be back to small results in September.  But for now I'll enjoy the euphoria.
