I know Fotolia has very random selection criteria but seriously I have submitted 2 Photos of exact same building shot from 2 angles and the 2nd one have come back with rejected by copyright violation... what? You might as well reject both for some consistency! So frustrating!

I assume you checked this carefully, but is it possible there's a sign or logo of some sort in the rejected image that isn't there in the one they accepted? It might not be the building itself that's the problem.

The first one only shows one side, which could be considered like a generic detail or texture; the second one shows a corner, identifying that object as a specific building?

but it's a very subtle difference, and may well be (more likely) just a random decision

This is a very unique exterior design of a building. I wouldn't be surprised if it were rejected on all agencies due to a missing property release.

I'd say be happy that you got one in.

At FT there is a chance that the two images were reviewed by two reviewers, so one thought "good enough" and the other thought "hmmm too unique, need a release" and rejected it.
