I just saw this fun little award schedule on Envato.  If you sell $10,000,000 worth of content you'll be awarded with...

Quote
Author and their partner will be flown First Class to Melbourne, greeted at the airport by the CEO, and brought to the office to be greeted by the entire HQ team.

Author will have a desk at the office for a week should they choose to come in and work with the team at HQ.

Author will be awarded a plaque at a special dinner ceremony with the Envato team.

Sucks if you live in Australia.
I wonder if it would be a $69 airfare and no first class and no baggage allowance

I'd probably be over it though because if I made 3.3m on photodune I would have made around 60million all up and I'd be buying my own plane ticket and it wouldn't be to Melbourne.

Perhaps they do in Australia the 1st of April jokes on another day?

It's a nice idea, but to reach that level you'd have already earned so much money that airline costs probably wouldn't mean much to you by then anyway. :)

Still, a nice gesture.

Great idea. We should fly all together. Drinking champagne and discussing future of microstock.  Let's say September 10th?  :)

Yeah, it looks half humor but I'm sure they'd honor it if someone actually reached that in sales.  They have lots of other steps along the way too which a number of people would have reached already.

Hi Leaf,
For sure we will honor it!  We currently have three authors with well over $1M in sales and two who will probably hit the $2M mark early next year. There are also lots hot on their heels.
We have also projected their sales trajectory, using the latest algorithms, to make sure we are there to meet them at the airport when they get to $10M!  Only thing left to work out is how to ensure great weather, anybody has any ideas on this front :-)

Aren't you guys based in Melbourne?  ;D (and you want to ensure great weather on any particular day?  ;D)

Now that you mention it, I do remember Kriesi getting his 'Power Elite Ring' :)

Well, now if you get that achievement you'll have to fly not to Melbourne, but to USA, I guess.  :)

Why are you starting up every ancient thread mentioning envato?

2m is still 8m short. old thread but still a nonsense incentive. its no incentive at all and no one has ever achieved it on envato

Are you sure about that? Themefusion hit $10m back in December, there's two other authors who are well over $5m, and another 15 who are between $2m and $5m. Seeing the $10m barrier was broken, they've added a new tier... get to $25m and they'll pay for you to go into space!

The prize is working at a desk in an office. Just what every online worker dreams of.  ???

You seem to be focusing a bit too heavily on the desk part of the prize. Myself, I'd be slightly more interested in the first class return flights and accommodation. Whatever floats your boat though, you might be able to trade in the tickets for a fancier desk that they could ship to you.

I'm new here and until I made a few comments - I can not make a post where will be active links. These are not my rules. Envato is that I know, that's why I wrote a few comments in old threads. I hope I answered your question.
