3 hour left here on the right coast but I just compiled my stats. Changes for me this month included a strong month for StockXpert and a weak month for DT. IS was a bit stronger than usual too. The rest were pretty typical.

I am curious to see if others really had StockXpert take off for them this month too.

SS - 29.9%
IS - 22.1%
StockXpert - 16.4%
DT - 9.9%
BS - 7.0%
FT - 5.3%
123 - 2.6%
LO - 2.6%
CS - 2.5%
FP - 1.6%

SS - 28%

FT - 8%
123RF - 5%
BigStock - 2%
CanStockPhoto - 2%
Big White Box - 2%

IS - 18% - .67/dl

Litifeta - what do you resize your images to for the Big White Box?  I was trying to upload to them last week and was having a terrible time.  With one image at a time uploaded, I gave up.

Thanks.

I don't do all these percentages, I don't have time, and working in accounts I want to do something different with my evenings!
I just look at the money in my bank account.

SS - more than ever before.
DT -great month best so far this year
SX -improving all the time
123 -best month ever since the site opened
BS -averagemonth, steady sales all month
IS -seems to be dropping back
Fotolia -steady
CS -seems to be picking up, sales are more regular.
LO -disappointing, despite an EL.
FP - just dragging along

FT - 62%
IS - 23%
SS - 15% (even though I just joined SS in the second half of April)
LO - 0% (I leave that account idle)

Interesting, even though the number of Dls went down with FT by 20% for me, the income still rose by almost 30%).

IS: DL -10% / $ -25%
SS: DL -30% / $ -30%
DT: DL -36% / $ -20%
BS: DL +14% / $ +15% (but that makes a plus of $1.50 ...)
StockXpert: first month there, so no percentages, but way better than DT and almost the $ from SS - pretty good result!

Just to let you all know i have added two spreadsheets to my website

one to calculate those percentages we are discussing on this thread
microstock earning percentages and totals

microstock earnings breakdown

the other a shutterstock statistics spreadsheet

shutterstock stats spreadsheet

to calculate $/month and DLs/month from your SS stats

both are blank with all the relevant formulas and ready to use with simple instructions.

The links are also in my signature.

Hope they are useful

Based on sales growth March to April 2007

SS    -15%
StockXpert  +81%   ;D
IS     +33%   ;D
FT     +16%
DT     -9%

StockXpert and IS were outstanding for me in a month with relatively few uploads, hence the drop on SS.

iStock         23% down about 30%
ShutterStock  20% down about 50%
Dreamstime   18% BME
StockXpert     13% BME
BigStock    13% BME
Fotolia         10%

This was a very strange month for me. It started off really bad and then picked up some speed by the end.

A disappointing month with nominal sales increases on all sites, resulting in a 7% increase in total sales. On the positive side, sales at SS hit a low at Easter and increased dramatically to prevent what should have been a decline in revenue. This trend, together with the 20% commission increase, makes me guardedly optimistic about the upcoming month. I will begin contributing to StockXpert in May, and will abandon FT if sales are significant.

Still a small portfolio compared to a lot of people here, ranging from 66 at DT to 133 at BigStock, but here are my figures anyway

SS     27%
FT     6%
BigStock   7%
DT    24%
IS     36%
123RF 1 download all month so a tiny little bit of 1%

I increased my portfolio based on an average of all sites by 35% but only saw an increase in income by 21%. Shutterstock was really poor for me this month, lower sales than in Feb & March, all the others increased though.

I also joined Stockxpert this month and was amazed that 62 out of 64 images from my first submission were accepted, however the first 10 days there have not created one sale.

Fingers crossed for May.

Site - % of earnings - % change from last month

2. Dreamstime - 14% - +77%
3. StockXpert - 13% - +786%
4. Fotolia - 12% - -7%
5. BigStockPhoto - 1% - -42%

Can I play too??  :D

Stats...

IS - 33.32%
DT - 24.62%
SS - 17.19%
StockXpert - 15.97%
FT - 8.91%

I'll keep track so I can compare in May.

BTW - Hello everyone - Starting to feel a little better and can climb the stairs regularly now to get to my computer, so I can join in the forum a bit now. Thanks for all the "best wishes" prior to my surgery.

PenelopeB, welcome back!

My 2007 numbers until April:

Site Jan Feb Mar Apr
IS 32% 35% 25% 27%
DT 13% 18% 23% 15%
FT 18% 11% 10% 16%
StockXpert 15% 14% 15% 9%
CanStockPhoto 4% 6% 1% 2%
BigStock 7% 2% 9% 4%
123 4% 3% 4% 3%
FP 5% <1% 14% 2%
LO 1% 2% 3% 1.5%
IV 0% 7% 0% 19%
Scan 0% <1% 1% 0%
CS <1% <1% <1% 1%

I had one sale at ImageVortex that disturbed the results.  I wish I had just one sale like that every month... One EL in FT this month.  Both DT and StockXpert were particularly disappointing.  Earnings in IS were a tad smaller.

Overall earnings decreased in 14%, after months of continuous growth.

Regards,
Adelaide
