None for me. There's some sales but the most downloaded top five have 51, 51, 4, 4, 3 downloads. http://www.albumo.com/most-downloaded-sale

They have about 157,000 now. If they fill out the 100 program, they'll be there. Only 54 so far.

Not sure why more people haven't joined. I know people are leary about new startups, but they pay you to do it, so don't see the down side, upload 2,000 images, get $125 - 3,000 get $225

They're willing to spend up to $25,000 just to get images - I have to assume, they intend some serious marketing to recoup their losses.

It's quite easy to process and submit there, sort of a cross between Stock Expert and Dreamstime, I would say one of the best systems around in terms of efficiency and speed.

I just noticed that one of my referrals had her/ his first sale at Albumo. None of the top ten microstockers nor anybody with a vast portfolio, only >100. So it seeems that sales start to trickle in at Albumo. In case you want to join in, feel free to use one of my referral links, SY

I agree. I have almost 800 images there with no sales yet but I'm hopeful about this site unlike other new startups.

Excuse my stupid question but if i upload 1000 images i get credited 25 USD, right? Im woundering if there is a minimum limit on the payout? Could i even get it the minute it appears on my accont?

Minimum pay-out is $75, so you would have to upload more then 1000 to get an immediate pay-out, SY

Know what you mean about checking another site. But it didn't take me long to upload enough for a payout. Categories optional. Mostly it was ftp, then a few clicks similar to stockxpert.

I only check there about once a week as I know they aren't marketing yet, but I still upload the same files as everywhere else.

I don't like the pricing structure actually i hate it. IMHO we don't need another pricebreaker the current prices on all Microstocksites are still way to low. And givingaway Hires-pictures for just one Dollar thats a repeating joke. I know that the prices supposed to go up with downloads of the file but thats not the same as real prices.
I could easily upload more than 4000 pictures but i'm not going to do this. My efforts go to sites that are trying to establish a midstockstandard.

I agree with you 100%, and unfortunately didn't notice it until I'd already uploaded a ton of stuff.  So...as soon as I reach my uploading payout, I'm pulling my portfolio.  I will not support anymore pricing structures that don't support me right from the start.  I've had quite enough of selling my largest size image for $1 or $2, thank you very much.

LOL.  Well, I don't have an uber portfolio like many of you, so yesterday was a very good day for me.  I had sales on all 8 sites in the same day (which never happens to me), even LO, 123, and 4 on FT which is a miracle.    It was a surprise to me, then I remembered that I sent a couple dozen to Albumo so thought I better check there before I began celebrating.... Of course, no sales - not a single view either.  Not one view!  EVER!

That sounds strange, can you post a link to your portfolio?

No sales for myself so far, but 2 for my referrals. But my views going steadily up, seems traffic has increased to the site, SY

A grand total of 2 sales so far - I think the marketing push hasn't started yet.

My benchmark for this is Fotolia, which managed to start generating a sale a day (for me) just as soon as they started marketing the site; things later ramped up to a decent volume (if you don't count the V2 snafu). Compared to Fotolia, albumo is off to a very slow start, but perhaps it's even harder now given the competition?

This was in an email they sent me after I joined "Albumo will start a  massive advertisement campaign after our photo stock reaches a mark  of at least 200,000 images"

I am very disappointed that the promised massive advertisement campaign  hasn't happened.  Don't know why they would pay us to upload and then not promote the site.  Perhaps it will happen next year but it seems they have missed an opportunity this year.

After a couple of months or so and about 1200 accepted images, I have had one sale so far.

It would appear they are currently offline due to "system upgrade and server relocation"

The pricing structure suggests to me that buyers are getting a bargain

System upgrade and server relocation? Yea, right... Most companies post a notice in advance that the site is going to be down. And then do the work during low traffic time or weekends.

The site went down, was down for quite a while, and then they posted the system upgrade and server relocation message. C'mon.

What it should say is something like "Our single server with one hard drive failed and we're scrambling to order new parts and then perform a full backup. We expect this to take about 24 hours but who knows."

Their FPT server is still working so it's not quite that bad. However, like LO, I would rather they put their money into marketing rather than hardware upgrades.

At 911 images I began to get rejections and shortly thereafter they stopped the 100 club. I wrote support about this but got no answer. You don't go from total image acceptance to total rejection and I am pissed about it. If I read the TOS correctly they can keep my files for 400 days. I haven't read it lately but it seems it was something like this. I'm not bothered by this if they do the marketing and I see some profit but right now it looks like they won't have to pay the $25 bait money.

The only reason I'm bothered by them keeping my files is the way things are going on all the sites I am more and more enticed by exclusivity.

From Albumo's upload agreement...

Member also forfeits the right to remove submitted and approved for sale Content for 400 days since the date of initial upload.  Albumo.com has sole right to remove such content if necessary.  After 400 days has passed, member can remove the Content at any time for any reason at all by request to our Support.

I don't have images at albumo so this is just an 'aside'

it will be interesting to see if albumo or snapvillage or any of the others, slowly climb their way up the rating board on the right..... I wonder what 2008 will bring.

Having my photos there doesn't hurt, so I don't really care, but I'm afraid they are dead in the water. No sales and a completely uninspiring website. Lucky Oliver is at least interesting to look at, although the sales aren't much better.

I wonder what their plan is. Let's see. They spent a ton of money paying photographers to submit images and I haven't seen any evidence of them spening money on trying to attract buyers. They've sent a couple of email newsletters which costs nothing and may only be reaching their existing database of people who already know who they are.

Are they trying the organic growth approach? Or build a foundation and sell it?

No sales for me or any referrals for months. Stopped uploading end of the year.

I ddin't consider them a waste of time as they paid me almost $250 to upload, but I won't do anything else until I see some activity.

I've only sold 2 at Mostphotos, but at 12.5 Euros, I will be sticking around.

Been there for right at a month now. Had three sales almost as soon as I started uploading, then bang - nothing since, and next to no views either. And my acceptance rate went from 100% (awfully high since I even submitted some crap photos) to about 15% (about 1/3 my acceptance at DT). If they are to survive, they will have to find some consistency or they will end up driving away contributors and, thusly, buyers.

I've also noticed batch acceptance/rejection. They either accept every photo in a batch or reject all the photos in a batch so I've started submitting in smaller batches of 5-10 images.

These reviewers are harder to figure out than those at FT, IMHO.

Been there since just about the beginning.  I've had one image with over 1400 views - no downloads.  The rest have very few views and no downloads.  Have Quit uploading to Albumo and will pull my images.  To me it was a waste of time.

None for me. There's some sales but the most downloaded top five have 51, 51, 4, 4, 3 downloads. http://www.albumo.com/most-downloaded-sale

From my post above from five months ago, not much has changed. Their top downloaded image is now at 53. That's two more sales in five months. Something very fishy here.

I stopped submitting there a few months ago and not even an EL motivates me to resume uploading.

Yeah, this one makes no sense. Why did they spend the money to incent uploads, then do nothing?

I would be hard pressed to upload to any new micro site after getting burned so many times over the last two years. It's almost been a complete waste of time after the top 5-6

I had half a dozen sales early on but nothing since.  However they still pay me to upload and I just got my 2nd payout because of it so I will continue.

the top couple of images were used for testing so have high downloads. About 4-6 weeks ago I ordered all by sales  and looked at how much had sales got to around page 15 with everything still having sales before I got bored :)

They have a recent sales thing with the last few sales.  I hit refresh after about 15 minutes and it was a different 3 images, and it is different everytime I go there so they are getting sales but I think it is slow.  Hopefully they will do some marketing soon, maybe I am just being too optimistic :)
