Got this tonight from 123RF- :-[ (There goes my rent money!)

Dear Contributor,

We are writing to inform you there might be some discrepancy between your actual August payout and earnings page figure resulting in under or over payment. Regardless of whether you will be over or underpaid, 123RF will still pay you by the 15th of this month.

If you have been underpaid by more than $5, we will arrange for a second pay out session if you could inform us at [email protected] before 25th August 2014. Otherwise, the underpaid commissions will be carried forward to the next payout on September 15, 2014.

Sorry for the inconveniences caused.

Thank You.

Got it as well. If it works with iS, why not with others, right?  ::)
This is not serious.
Glad I'm closing my account here soon.

I received this email too, and when I look into my account on Earnings balance, I had there -890$.
It means that they will take me 890 dollars from my future income?
My English isn't very good, so maybe I understand it wrong...

Unbelievable. Terrible accounting. They're not even sure if it's an underpayment or overpayment. How and when will we know the exact amount?
A 123RF representative should come in here and explain what the heck happened.

"If you have been underpaid by more than $5, we will arrange for a second pay out session if you could inform us at [email protected] before 25th August 2014."

Does that mean WE have to inform them about underpayment? I don't understand.

This is certainly NOT just like Istock.  With Istock, they only discover the problem after all contributors make a lot of forum-noise.  123rf sent me/us this e-mail BEFORE payment, so they found out about it themselves and are already working on correcting it.

Doesn't matter, it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

My sales fall 75% on 123rf in august. That never happened nowhere. All other pages sales are normal.
Anyone have the same problem?

My 123RF fell just a little, about 15% last month, but the current month is growing.

They're not talking about unrecorded sales, they are talking about the recorded sales not matching the payout.

In my case the payout was correct. also, my august earnings were UP about 75%, so perhaps there has been a shift in the search which hit you and benefited me.

Agree.  Nobody like to see mistakes but they do happen - 'fessing up and acting on them immediately is the professional approach.

How did you check that?

Edit: nevermind, I was under the impression that royalties on the earnings page were incorrect, but I understand this is not the case.

Not impressed. Got a response for what I thought was an underpayment of >$50 compared to their stats for the month. Turns out the over and underpayments have been going on for many years and this is a balancing issue over all that time. Basically they have discovered over / under payments going back to 2010.

I'll just let it go for the sake of the amount, however it leaves a nasty taste. It would be like me claiming for uses in 2010. No, not impressed.

I received my payout on time and it was for $26.31 more than my July earnings as shown on the on site Earnings chart.

I don't understand how the discrepancy e-mail they sent squares with the explanation Oldhand received that this was a correction for past incorrect payments. "... there might be some discrepancy between your actual August payout and earnings page figure resulting in under or over payment"

If my past payments were under-reported, I'm not being over paid now, I'm being paid correctly - July earnings plus a back payment for prior mistakes.

If the $26.31 is an "over payment" then they'll want it back at some point? The e-mail talked about underpayments and how they'll correct those (but again, if that's because past payments were made at too high a level, why are they making up the difference)?

Did anyone get a detailed explanation from support that they can post? If not, I guess I'll get in touch with them to find out if they'll want their $26.31 back

I got an email a few days ago in response to my request for clarification.  It included a detailed accounting of three underpayments (all but one under a dollar) and seven overpayments (all but two under a dollar and one under $1.50) since 2010.  By their reckoning, things almost balanced out, with an underpayment of .36 to be added to next month's payment.  So it's been going on for a while, although in my case the amounts were negligible.

I've sent them a note asking for more information. It's not a big amount, but I think we should know where (and in which year) earnings come from rather than just getting a lump sum with no details.

I received the details of my overpayment from support - in my case the under/over amounts went back as far as Jan 2008. The reason mine is a large-ish overpayment is that in April 2010 (while I was an IS exclusive) 123rf deducted $26.28 for fraud from 2005 to 2008. When they were figuring the recent over/under amounts, the fraud deduction was treated as an underpayment. The other three cents is the net of 17 months of over/underpayments between Jan 2008 and November 2013.

So I get to keep the three cents and the other $26.28 will be removed from my August earnings.

After a few email finally they reply me together with all the past year pay out, in the past year total they over paid me $1.07, my July earning was just hit the pay out limit, therefore after minus this $1.07 become less than minimum pay out limit. therefore I won't receive payment this month  :(

I have -$1800.00 on my earning page...  I hope they owe that to me...  Not happy!

My balance is -$2509, which seems crazy either way. There must be some kind of glitch going on with the earnings page.
