Sales are up vs August (of course!) but not where they should be.  I'm still down vs. the first half of Sept 2013, and it's clear why.  The amount I was able to grow my port (around 20%) was outpaced by the flood of new uploads to SS and the others.  If you can't keep up with this flood, you drown.

Even though sales have increased, I'll have to say no because of the time of year. It should be a lot better.

I had an el and a couple nice sod's but besides that no real uptick in sales.  I'll take it tho.  Any improvement is good.

Same here. My Sept 2014 on SS may beat my August 2014 a little but historically Sept should be a lot better than Aug. My Sept 2014 will be down at least 10% from Sept 2013, and down 20%+ from Sept 2012. I am not keeping my head above water in the flood  :'(

To be fair to Shutterstock, I have to revisit my earlier comment. Yesterday was another good day. After a slow start, the ODDs made up for it later on the day. And this morning already showing 4 ODDs. Maybe I spoke to soon and it is a good month.

For somebody like you that makes over $160,000 a year on micro, how bad can it be? 365*4000*.11=$160,600

After one month at microstock, my daily RPI was 11 cents.  After two and a half years, my daily RPI is 11 cents.  Yes, there was fluxuation... in the summer, it hung around 10 cents, and in the best months like March and November it was steady at 12 cents.  Draw all the comparisons you want to a roulette wheel, saying nearly a thousand days of roughly the same RPI is mere coincidence.  Since your experience is different from mine, I must be wrong, right?   I'll just keep doing what I'm doing, since it seems one of us must be doing something right.

With a week to go in September, sales volume is off about 10-15% from what it was before the summer.  For me, based on the map the reason is an almost complete loss of sales from Europe beginning about the second week in June.  I was hoping it was just due to summer vacations but so far it hasn't picked up this month.  It used to be when I checked overnight sales every morning there would be a big bump from Europe (I am in the US), but since the second week of June those dropped off considerably - this morning none, and the new normal seems to be only very few if I am lucky.  The past four months the loss of volume was made up by more than usual high-value SODs or (this month) ELs, but if those sales hadn't happened it would be grim.  Not sure where the Europeans are now getting their images but a big drop there is what I have noticed.

All other sites seem to have decreased as well so it isn't like someplace else has started to take off.  Total monthly DLs the past couple months were less than the average for last year so it is definitely a big drop.  Whether this is just due to the huge increase in the number of competing images or a drop in sales at agencies I don't know.

haven't had a sale in six days now. I've got to try and add some people photos when I can. I was told by support to try and add more variety to my port.
I ordered a new lenses for camera a 25mm 1.8 prime to hopefully take better pictures.before my 14-42 lenses just wasn't doing the job the quality just wasn't there.

Same here, particularly all three on an upswing. SS is doing very well.

BMY for me so far - got a third EL yesterday which certainly helped.
I had some page one photos that lost their spot for a while but they seem to be back and selling pretty well again. Thinking I may upload some new photos there again.

Worse than August.
Just better than May and June which were truly terrible.
