Strange: Istock invite me to join it by showing my Shutterstock portfolio

I got a mail from Istock and invite me to join Istock photo by showing my some popular photo in Shutterstock.The fact is I did in Istock from 2 years ago!!!

Thats desperate. I mean that is flippin desperate when agencies have to search for more contributors unless you have such unique content they want it for getty.

Sorry, I'm not clear on what you're saying.  Did you get an invitation to buy from iStock or contribute?  And they used one of your SS images or just a SS image?

I had shutterstock do the same thing when I posted a demo reel of my istock videos on youtube. Not desperate, just recruiting contributors.

Sorry, I'm not clear on what you're saying.  Did you get an invitation to buy from iStock or contribute?  And they used one of your SS images or just a SS image?

Istockphoto show some my photo (from Shutterstock) and invite me join Istockphoto as contributor.

And by recruiting  more contributors, all contributors will make less money and eventually stop uploading because it's not worth the effort any longer... that's a bit ironic, isn't it.
