Didnt pay an entrance fee. Taken from outside the fence. Government property.

Does this need to be editorial or can this be sold with commercial licence ?

Cheers

That means the onus is on the use of the image, not on the sale.

And does it have NASA insignia or NASA staff visible? Those seem to be the things they are bothered about, not NASA hardware.

Only a few Paul. I think I will make a shift of editorial and commercial.

I think if it's government property then it is more or less public and can be commercial.  However, as you know it is up to each agency - I bet SS and DT might let it slide, but BS and 123 will require it to be editorial.  If you submit commercial let us know what the reviewers say.

US Government property photographed from a public place should always be fair game (except military bases in some cases and possibly nuclear facilities).   However, SS and BS have both forced me to re-upload as editorial on a number of similar subjects.  IS has rejected a few as well.  It's their club so it's their rules even if it's not necessary legally.

That image looks out of focus and the white balance is off. The grass should be blue and the sky must be pink. How do you ever expect that to pass inspection these days? ;D

That's a bit unrelated to my shots. Plus I was in Spain not USA. And I didn't use a drone.

What's NASA doing in Spain?

Its one of three sites in the world and very interesting really

Quote
The Madrid Deep Space Communications Complex (MDSCC) is a ground station located in Robledo de Chavela, Spain, and operated by the Instituto Nacional de Tcnica Aeroespacial (INTA).

Quote
It is part of NASA's Deep Space Network run by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The facility contributes to the Deep Space Network's ability to provide the vital two-way communications link that tracks and controls spacecraft and receives the images and new scientific information they collect. This complex is one of three NASA Deep Space Network complexes in the world; the others are the Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex located in California, near the city of Barstow, and the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex in Australia which is close to the city of Canberra.

Functions
The antennas and data delivery systems make it possible to:

Acquire telemetry data from spacecraft.
Transmit commands to spacecraft.
Track spacecraft position and velocity.
Perform Radio Astronomy (both single-dish and very-long-baseline interferometry) observations.
Measure variations in radio waves for radio science experiments.
Monitor and control the performance of the Deep Space Network.

NASA is not the military.
