Hi all,

Was wondering if it's fine that Shutterstock requires a property release for a picture where the only subject is a close-up of an animal (cow), with no visible signs attributing it to a specific place, property, etc. Obviously, the picture was rejected as no property release was attached (and could never be attached, for that matter). I'm a bit confused, to say least...

Maybe the cow is wearing a tattoo  ;D.

I say just resubmit it.

As far as ear tags go, it really depends on the ear tag.  I have submitted images of wild Elk that were ear tagged and radio collared by the US Park Service and they went through fine.  Unless there is legible writing on the tag or brand, how can you prove who the animal belongs to.  That is just stupid.
