I am happy that U.S. District Court is taking action to ban and arrest the person incharge of this torrent website, giving a loss of over $1 billion in pirated files
Looking forward when they will ban gfx website including all the websites who are distributing images illegally or free.

Those files aren't going anywhere. The torrents are just picked up by the next torrent tracker. No real change there.

This wont change anything.
I'm coming from Serbia, small country out of EU, and standard here is that I wouldn't saw more than a half movies I saw if there was no torrents. It's jut to expensive to go to movies everyday here, and in a lot of other countries and that is main problem. And I love to watch good movies, not the ones they give on TV (mostly all the same movies repeating all over again) so only thing they can do about it is to lower tickets for movie theaters since its a lot more fun to see good movie in theater.

Until than, ten new sites will fulfill this hole and kick ass will be back in a month or two. The same thing happened to the pirate bay about a year ago or so.

KONJINA, please don't take this personally, but that is exactly the kind of assinine, narrow minded, self entitled thinking that has slowly been eroding the value of creatives and their work for years now. I am surprised and dissapointing to hear that coming from a fellow contributor.

Consider that in some countries the price of a ticket in a good movie theater, or the cost to buy/rent online, is very high compared to their average salaries.

OK i need to defend my self now :)
I'm against piracy, but they can't beat it like that. Since I really enjoy good movies and I don't have enough money for tickets I'll watch piracy films. Is it OK? No! But who of us didn't watched pirated movies or TV series?

If they want to kill Kick ass and Pirate bay they movie theaters need to lover down ticket prices. In worst case scenario for them they will earn same amount of money but all views will be legal. And they will probably earn more than they earn now.

Taking down a site or two wont change anything. Same is with music and photography.

Why watch in pirated? If you don't have money, do more hard work and earn.. else don't watch

There is billions of $$ loss when it comes for movies, music, softwares, ebooks, training videos, graphic etc... I have also read in few countries movie is illegally published before the release date.. Isn't it a serious matter?
If maximum people will go for such illegal stuff, then my dear jobless people will count more resulting them to be homeless in few time and then they will rise as thieves, terrorists etc.

Think it to be a big scene.

This is pointless. We've been through this a few time on here. People who feel entitled to help themselves to things as long as they aren't caught are incapable of understanding why it could be wrong. Endless debate has proven that. It's the same as people who think it is okay to do things because "if I didn't someone else would" or because "everyone does it". You can't really explain the difference between right and wrong to someone who does't believe in personal responsibility or morality.

I never have. Because I don't steal. Just because I don't have money to go to the movies everyday doesn't make it ok for me to steal from someone else. I can't believe the number of people who can justify this in their head. I don't care what country you live in...don't parents teach children that stealing is wrong? Apparently not.  :(

Well if anything he should have more cash for the movies. We do the same job and I live in a more expensive country! But don't let facts get in the way of a good excuse!

I don't watch movies(no time) but I believe we are talking here about western double standards! Watching and sharing movies is a criminal copyright infringement, but for doing 'Crimes Against Humanity' by big greedy corporate companies like Chevron, Texaco,BP, Nike,Adidas.... for polluting environment, child labor and enslavement of children The U.S. Government don't give a sh#t? It's All A Matter Of Money! At the end we are forced to feel sorry for Hollywood,Apple or Microsoft... because of torrents they're loosing money >:(  blood money

Glad to see the terrible comments were removed.  I'm moving on before this gets in the gutter again.
