After looking at this poll, I suspect that the number of low-earners are skewing the results.

Let's see some real numbers, people!

which way do you think they are scewing the results.  Too many high or too many low votes?

Too many high votes.

I don't think OD sales are accounting for significant income, but the other poll shows that they increase income by 5% or more for 29% of the contributors. I think this poll paints a more accurate picture of what we can expect from this additional revenue stream.

It looks to me that OD sales aren't going to be that big a deal. Not for the time being, at least.

well i think they both paint a fairly accurate picture.  I think there is a very overabumdant amount of 0 sales and low percentages due to people only have 100 images or so online and not being a very good sample size.

I got 7.4 %

In the poll in this thread I feel it just shows how little of a sample size people are using since most people have under $10 in on demand sales.. i'm guessing most of those same people don't have many images online.

or if you look at the august earnings breakdown there are only 20 people who earned over $1500 total and all of those most likely haven't voted in the shutterstock thread.

I think what we can tell from that poll is what the 'bell' tells us.  There are a bunch of people at 0 and a few stragglers well aboe 10% but the bell peaks around 5% which is probably fairly accurate.

Hi,

I've had one for $ 1.88 (a vector).  I have about 80 images in my port at the moment.

I regret to tell you I have not seen a single On Demand sale in September. I have had only two of them since they were introduced. But I have noticed decreasing sub sales in SS since this On Demand thing was introduced. So all in all I must say it is not good for me at all.

1 x $1.88 in August and 2 x $1.88 September = 3-6% of total earnings
