Has the addition of the Editorial workload just completely swamped the reviewers?  I have something like 80 images in the que and some since the 30th that are just sitting there.  Perhaps someone should have hired more reviewers...

Has anyone had any files reviewed lately?

No problem here. They've been rejecting my illustrations in record time!

Two of 3 images uploaded on Mon. Jan 30 were accepted on Mon. Feb. 7 - the third one from the series is still waiting, along with a couple of recent uploads from this past Saturday.

Quit uploading, so no delay in reviewing. Revenue droppped in half in December and has held steady at that level, so not wasting my time

iStock usually assigns different inspectors to the different types of media/programs.  So I'm going to guess that the editorial stuff is different inspectors, although they could have moved some inspectors from one section to there and now have a shortage of inspectors for the regular queue.  but who knows.  Isn't there a rule of thumb to contact support if it goes longer than a certain time.  like longer than week for exclusives and non-exlusives if it's longer then 2 or 3 weeks -- something like that?

I dont keep track much at istock anymore.  I just upload a forget about it, since half the time once it's inspected it still doesn't show up in your portfolio for another week.  the site is so screwy right now.  I'm concentrating on building my ports at the other sites now -SS, DT, SF, FT, etc.

My understanding from reading a post on an iS forum was that inspectors were pulled from the regular pool and trained specifically for Editorial.  It made no mention of hiring new inspectors, which would explain the slow down.

Wanted to bump this as I still have several images in the que that go back as far as 2/16 (editorial and RF).  I have not had a file reviewed since perhaps mid-week last.  Anyone having files approved?

Yep lots reviewed.  Are you exclusive?  If so send a message to support.

There were some files that were uploaded between Jan. 25 & 30 that got stuck but contacting support was shaking them loose.

I'm not exclusive.  I had 2 files uploaded on the 17th that were accepted on the 25th.  More files uploaded on the 22nd are still pending but going on the same approx. 8 day turnaround I am not expecting them to be released for a few more days.

The queue is currently 83704, almost 4000 up in the past 22 hours.
My next pic in the queue has been locked and unlocked four times that I'm aware of, though a couple uploaded later on the 17th are through. Although I constantly dripped editorial files up over the last couple of weeks, my last notice came in sometime overnight here and it's now midnight.
Anyone had a file through in the last twelve hours?

Later: I see that almost concurrent with my post, Subman had posted an explanation that they are training inspectors. I'm really, really curious to know why this programme was rushed out, half-baked. And the queue's down to 83655: the first downturn for days.

I had one Editorial file accepted this morning.  I still have about 60 files+ in the queue just sitting there, most from around the same submission date.

Apparently iStock is constipated!

I just had two accepted in the past ten minutes. About an hour ago, I got a rejection because I had date month year in the caption and the rejection said I should have month date year. All my acceptances have had date month year and it's on sirimo's caption sticky that that's OK. I Scouted it instantly, of course, but resent losing a Scout ticket on that.

"(Location data might be "City, County" or "City, State, Country" etc. Date data might be 'month date year" or "date month year" or in rare circumstances where the specific date isn't known just "month year". "

I contacted Support with the same problem. They apologised and said that a whole load of files had become "corrupted" and had missed review. They "reset" them and reviewed them within 24 hrs.

I know of one exclusive contributor who was an inspector and who recently resigned from his job as inspector last month. On his iStock blog page he wrote that he doesn't agree with the way iStock is heading and the decisions being made so he couldn't stay officially affiliated with the company. I am not sure if there are also other inspectors that have resigned recently as well, but a reduction in the number of inspectors would seem attributable to a slow down in inspection rates as well. I now have some images still in the inspection cue from 2 weeks ago already.

A few of my files from the 22nd were approved overnight so that's on track with the approximate 8 day turnaround I've been experiencing as a non-exclusive.  There are still a few more files uploaded the same date that have yet to be reviewed so it remains to be seen if they'll sit much longer or will be reviewed today.

That seems relatively quickly for a non-exclusive contributor. What type of files were those that were just inspected?
