My first two weeks of July were so bad that I am actually longing for a best match shift.

Know what they say? it cant get any worse!  well in this case,  it CAN!"

I was doing ok prior to July. Don't know why this July is so bad.

This week has been real rough for me. Looking at my port in best match sort seems to indicate that's it's changed yet again.

I am getting very strange search results using best match on my favorite keyword and limiting to photos. On Google chrome it sorts by collection with Vettta not showing up until after about 20 pages. I am usually in the top row with a Vetta image with over 500 dls. E+shows up right after the few Vetta files. Most of my files are in E+ now so they are now buried in the back despite great sale record. Even the few regular files  are not on the first page despite being recent and having had a few dls. I tried the same search on FF and the results were different. Now my Vetta with 550 dls is in the top 100. Should be in the top 10. The first page is dominated by the regular collection and if you go to the last page it is dominated by E+. I am having the worst month in years. I just hope this is some temporary glitch. My stuff is mostly a few years old but unique, but I can't sell it if you can't even find it when you are looking for it.

I've just noticed a dramatic change in my own port sorted by best match. It's almost entirely newish files interspersed with ancient poor-selling images from 2005-6. Only 4 of my flamed images, out of over 100, appear in the top 200 when sorted by best match. I think the IS developers must be engaged in yet another of their clumsy modifications inevitably with the usual unintended consequences.

I've now checked the results of one of my 'standards searches' of my niche subjects. Yesterday I had 43 images in the top 200 when sorted by best match. Now I have ... wait for it ... just 6. I'm dead if the best match stays like this!

We are all dead!  its time to bail out!  if not, just to set the mark!

My first page (200) by best match looks reasonable - more new files up top but 17 flamed images on that first page.

However, the old non-sellers on that first page include dollar bin images along with the "regular" and P+ files - I thought dollar bin was separate, but perhaps they're messing with results as they plan to include dollar bin in search results in the near future?

That would be the Value Collection which only certain users will see 'depending on what we know about them'.

Indeed, sales slowed down yesterday and are a bit slow today. Something's changed although not my in my searches, my files still have roughly the same positions. But that doesn't matter since they've added location in the best match mix (I guess buyers from the area that buys most, I guess the USA, are seeing less of my photos)
