I must confess that I don't know neither of them so well.

At first glance, I prefer qhero because it allows to disambibuate photos in batch.

I am interested in your answers too.

I have not tried Deepmeta, but the big difference I see so far is Qhero is cloud based (which I like) and Deepmeta is software, with a local dbase of images.

Both free so easy to see which features you like.

I have used many years Deepmeta.  It is a great program and it was a really saving at the time were the official upload option of Istock was XVII century tech. I have switched now to Qhero. It is very fast and intuitive. I like that you can disambiguate on the fly many images at once. As was already said it is cloud based and images uploaded a accesible if a mishap happens and you loose your images. Istock does not give you the option to retrieve images. Answers and question get answered very fast. I am happy with the change although Deepmeta is amazing too.

Even with the improvements of ESP upload system Qhero runs circles around it.

I used DM since start the new ESP system, i tried QHero and swapped to it, cause i can find all my keywords from ITCP with no other clicks to do. (in DM i must click on keyword to select).
Qhero is better and save time, it's only my opinion, and it work fine and fast in my Workflow.
I think the best is to try both and choose the best for you.

I tried the old version of DM recently and it looks like a decently built piece of software. I use the old version to follow my sales, don't know for how long I'll be doing that. I installed but have not tried to use the new version yet.

I would not use a cloud-based program for security and data leakage concerns, so I can't compare.
