Just wanted to give an update...goldenangel, you will be particularly happy, as you and a couple of others tried very hard to convert me!

I downloaded DeepMeta on Sunday and uploaded a batch to IS. I am on a Mac, and I did NOT have to download and install Mono Framework, as it previously said on the DM site, so they must have fixed that.

All is working well and I really like it. It is much like the ImageManager software that IS has available, except I could never get that to work correctly. Funny thing, a day after I installed DeepMeta, I got an email from Tobias Lauchenauer announcing that Image Manager 7 is now available for download. Coincidence? This is where I start to get paranoid.  ;)

It may not be a coincidence Cathy.

I was an early adopter of Imagemanager and had a paid account for several years.  I haven't received any letter from Tobias or any info at all about Imagemanager in a couple of years.  My e-mail address is still the same.

So how would Tobias know I downloaded DeepMeta and send me an email about Image Manager after all this time? Things like this that happen are why I was paranoid about downloading any third party software tied to any one company. Have any thoughts on this "coinky-dink"?

Lisa, why are you trying to feed Cathy's "paranoia"?   :D

You don't even have to give an email address when you download DM. So the only way it would be possible, though highly unlikely, that Franky could send info to Tobias that you DL'd DM (and therefore might want to update to IM7  ???) would be via your IP address. If you have a fixed IP address, and it hasn't changed since you registered IM, then in theory that information could be used to match your email address. (That's assuming that Tobias saved off your IP address at the time you registered.)

I'd put the chances at just slightly above 0%. Ignore the coincidence and enjoy discovering all that DM can do for you.  :)

Well, in that case maybe I should be paranoid.  Tobias doesn't love me anymore  :'(

Cathy, I'm glad you like it so far! I really think the IM7 matter was pure coincidence. Please let us know if you consider yourself converted :)

I dont understand is it "new" thread about prefinal beta of something called wanabee application for uploading to iStok even this application dont exist or it is not offered or verified by iStock?
I dont talk now about that they dont support Mac OS without Intel processors, and they buggies + that you cant upload another files (Vector, movie, flash or soud).
Is this mean that any damage will not be refund by iStok if it is caused by buggy DeepMeta?

It's a conspiracy, that's what it is! I heard from very reliable sources what happened, but please don't spread this around or the iStock undercover wannabe gunmen will hunt me down and finish my poor sales.  :o
Did you notice that the iStock staff arrived one day late at the iStockalypse last month in iStanbul? Haha! Here's what happened.

While at an unscheduled stop in Brussels on their way to iStanbul at the far end of a dark runway, the iStock staff was hauled over secretly in a bunch of buggies by Franky (the author of DeepMeta), straight to the railway station into one of the waiting wagons of the Orient Express Brussels-Istanbul.

In a private compartment with free booze and smokes, they went to sit together to forge their evil plans as soon as the train left east and into the gloomy fog. Present were Frankie himself, Hercules Poirot (of course), the main iStock coders, one very high iStock official (herr Roger von Mexico) and Agatha Christie.

They brooded, conspired, worked and coded all night, while the train was storming to the Orient, till they found a way to identify Suljo's PC (pardon, a Mac devoid of Intel-chips) on the net, stuff it with random buggies from within DeepMeta and scramble his keyboard inside out. Tired but happy, they arrived the next morning in iStanbul installing their "upgrades".

And that's why everybody else, except Suljo, can use DeepMeta well and thinks it's a great program.  ;D

If you receive a car (or a buggy)  for free and you drive it into the hays, do you expect the kind giver will pay the damage to the hays?  ;)
Why don't you ask Franky yourself? He's just a sitemail away on iStock.  :P

OK
This post is no have anything with DeepMeta but today I find post on iStok under maintance which is talking about some fixing about reading ITCP data and needing reply of users (uploaders). At first look it doesnt good but as I see they are "finally" trying to fix it. Now I want to talk about it but I cant find they original post about that.
Maybe I am coiled in my mind
They are put this thread under carpet so it is not visible any more.

Any how as many of you mentioned that I dont speak very positive about iStock but as non DeepMeta allowed user because they not have intention to make it universal for all users OS.
This thread which I cant find open little spark in my eye that they want to finally fix they basic upload system (about reading ITCP data).
Cmon iStock you can do it you are on right way or I must Moan again again and again.
Also some counter about reaching 50 keywords mark will also be helpful.
Keep on good work ist not nuclear science.
Cmon iStock, cMoaan, kh kh iStock, you can do it...

I just find post
