I can't find button for classic picture view on iStock anymore, is it shutdown forever now? Aldo there was a message that they will shut it down I thought that wouldn't really do it since message was there for a wile and I heard that there is amount of people who liked old view better, and I'm among them.

Yup, sadly it appears to be gone. No more lightbox linking now. What a shame. I also don't think buyers can see how many times a file has been downloaded anymore. Descriptions no longer seem to show on image closeup pages anymore either. I guess images only will require a title now when submitting.

I still see the "Switch to Classic View" link at the bottom of Portfolio and search pages.
However they do note that it is going away soon.

Just checked again, there is no button, for me at least. There was a note, but I don't get it why they couldn't keep both. New one is stupid as hell.

The most important thing was ofcourse lightboxes, description and download views. Since I'm newbie I find it very helpfull to see how many times each image can sell in a year.

I haven't been able to find the classic view from my phone for a while now, but classic view was working on my computer last night. Can't  seem to access the promised Wi-fi here on my netbook, so can't check the current situation on a computer rather than their mobile site.
Probably as more and more bits 'break' on classic view, more and more people will switch to new view. Then they'll announce that only a small number of buyers are using classic view and switch it off. They never seem to worry about losing the 'small numbers'.

For me the classic view option is still there for search results, but gone from the file close up page.

The latest chapter in the self destruction of iStock.

Yup, gone from file closeup page for me too. Either when logged in or not.

It seems that classic image view is gone now together with the image description. Also, the selected 'most important' 5 keywords under the image title are completely wrong on every image. Well done istock!

The classic view closeup page also used to show you how many total sales you have made for an image, including sub sales, etc.

When you see the image listed in My Uploads, the total number of downloads shown only refers to standard credit sales.

So this taking away of another site feature also results in an additional loss of useful information for the contributor that had helped contributors gauge which of their images are selling well, especially under the subs program.

Since the majority of sales are now also subscription sales, and not credit sales, it seems this additional loss of information is rather critical and the information that remains only about credit sales is rather superfluous. SMH

Well, actually, about the only decent feature of New View is that ability to see all the different types of sale for a file without an external script - I just checked here on my phone and it's still working as of now.
