I absolutely give up. Rejected again. They are taking the mickey now. Surely all the info is here they need to know. The next step would be to write fiction because that is all it is. A coach travelling with tourists in Wales.

This is the rejection (note UK is in there)

llandudno, Wales, UK August 08, 2013

An old British Leyland holiday coach on the Great Orme road, Llandudno North Wales with driver giving a guided tour via a microphone to passengers on the coach who are looking out at the view out to sea.

I am sending this to scout. Perhaps if they were not so vague as to why it has failed I would have a better idea.

Why don't you read the advice in this thread and refer to the iStock instructions instead of trying to do it your own way and then getting cross ? Apart from your lousy English, you are not getting the format right.

Or is this a wind-up ? It is starting to seem like one.

Herg, if you didnt capitalise the city name, it deserves a rejection. There is no room for sloppiness like that.

Probably thanks to it being spammed up with time wasters.

I have repeatedly tried to help you get this right as have others. And you have repeatedly, seemingly almost deliberately, ignored the advice. It becomes completely frustrating after a while. So why not just follow the examples and do it right instead of blaming them ?

Can you please tell me where exactly i have used "lousy English"? If you were really trying to help In a genuine way I dont think you would choose to be so rude however frustrating.

Perhaps I should elaborate more:

I wandered lonely as a cloud along the great orme, llandudno and I saw in the distance the early morning sunlight catching the chorme of the slow approaching vintage bus on the horizon. I noticed the excited faces of passengers, like children on Christmas eve anticipating the panoramic view that was about to greet them yada yada yada yada yada............

Why would the lack of using a capital letter for llandudno make such a difference to the buyer?

Are you for real? It's a spelling error.

This has to be a wind up.

I'm sure the hyphen, the colon and the format of the date don't matter to many buyers either, but it's their ball so they can make the rules. Also it's more professional to have some sort of consistency, (though before you mention it, imported Getty files have different formatting and vastly different keywording standards. It's still their rules.)
Just give up individuality kick and follow their rules, or take your ball to a more compatible team.

No I was genuinely trying to help. I like your pictures as I have told you previously on this forum. I certainly do not want to argue with you. Sorry to get annoyed.

If you want them to accept the picture then go back to the examples I linked to and you will quickly see where you are going wrong. If you do not get the format how they want it they will reject it.

Apart from the actual format, a well written caption is also potentially about SEO - either now or perhaps in the future. The point being that the words you use may help your picture to be found at some point. Therefore if 'vintage' is a significant word then yes you should include it IMO. Also make sure to carefully think through what other words or expressions are significant. It's a 'day trip' ? And avoid repetition.

No problem. I take on board what you say and apologize for getting overly defensive.
