Well, with only 13,000 images in the queue, only three days pending and new upload limits, iStock are suddenly introducing a new level of competition into the microstock field - they sell the most, now it looks as if they want to process the most and attract the most.
I should think the new search engine, and all these further developments will lead to a further price increase at the end of the year. Would be nice to see another 20% hike and a larger hike for 'small images' which I think are priced too low.
I think when I started, last July, I could upload 30 photos a week. I have moved up a level and can now only upload 25 a week. This might just be a seasonal thing. Photographers take more holidays in the summer and don't upload as much, so istock can raise the amount they review for those that submit.
My downloads with istock have been realy bad so far this month. Sutterstock is still doing well and stockxpert are making gains on istock. I am making progress on all the other sites but istock is over 30% down on my best month.
