I got a message that iStock won't accept me.  Is that forever?  Or just for a limited period of time?  I guess Getty is getting very strict...bah

was it after your sample pictures were submitted?  what exactly did they say?

This is what they said

Sorry but the quality of your files isn't high enough for inclusion to iStockphoto. Thanks for your interest in istockphoto, but we cannot accept you as a contributing photographer.

I don't get it though, because I had submitted photos that they had accepted in my inital submission, then they tell me to submit more, then they reject me entirely.  I really hate that site

No they kicked me off...they rejected me straight out from my inital submissions - of which they made me repeat over and over until I uploaded images that I guess they could say we don't want you no more

!  Weird...

So you can't even log in and take part in the forums there?  In the past I saw threads on there from people who had been rejected, looking for advice on improving their images, the same as you do on SS...

Cheers, Me.

ichiro,

I received that msg days ago when I was applying for illustrator (I've been a photographer contributor for months), but right below there was a complement asking me to email a copy of a document, this was required for the submission procedure.  Check if you didn't get this also.

Regards,
Adelaide

Are you saying they now have separate application processes for illustrators and photographers? In September when I signed up when you were accepted for one, then you could submit both vectors and photos without having to go through a separate process.

Yes, it's been like that at lest since February, when I joined IS.  I think I read this procedure (includes also "flash files" is a third category) hs been on since January.

I have never wanted to upload anything but photos on istock yet my upload page shows that I am approved for image, flash and vectors.
