In a different thread the topic came up about users, new users and number of users. Rather than do a complete hijack, I posted it here for discussion.
Point? I'm not sure that a bunch of numbers have any point. Just for the record, number of contributors increasing year after year. New users per year may be tapering off?
If the figures are valid, 2006 to 2009 new members run about 7500 a year, which might be interesting because that's how many people joined the four years before 2006.
If the charts are right and people are leaving, eventually the number for each year should change and drop, because they have left the database. So far nothing but going up!
Just can't wait for January and see if the new contributors in 2011 is really going to be about 200? Is that right? Oh boy...
Anyone have numbers for any of the other sites? Has the flood stopped or is this IS only?
