For those who didn't saw this website already, here is it... http://istockcharts.multimedia.de/

It give lot of information about the Istock sales and statistics. If you're not on the list you can add your name at the top (Add New User)

I couldn't saw this thread without a poll. I Hope it's not making too much of them, but you know it's just for fun ...

So what's your rank? (Sorted by the default option -downloads-)

I assume you mean the rank by number of downloads? (The ranking is re-sorted for each item. I am much higher in DL/img than total DL) Wink

My downloads rank sucks. Luckily that doesn't mean much, since it doesn't take the time factor into the account. In the dowloads/30days I'm ranked much higher Cheesy

i think the poll is too narrow. You should've included 25,000+ and 100,000+ categories.

It's the rank on the linked page that counts in this poll and not nr of downloads (I think you were reffering to that). There's only 18k people on that list.

We are not doing so bad when it comes to DLs in 30 days (about 30) but when it comes to overall DLs we suck!!

Hi V,

I show 4676 for me but it keeps dropping as more people are added. I think it is up to about 18,000 now so it is a great tool. I use it all the time. I like the way it shows peoples sales number per image this is a very important number to the stock agencies. It shows you produce images that sell, they like that. The only part it doesn't show is sell through rate or how many of each photographers photos have sold at least once in their life.

Interesting stuff on there. I'm ranked 911 overall, but more interesting to me is when you re-sort the lists by other factors and find your ranking in specific categories. For example, I'm ranked 439 in DLs per day, 1080 in DLs per file, and 739 in average DLs per day for the last 30 days.

So is that "imp" as in Vlad the Impaler or some happier, friendlier sprite? Not sure how well the anonymity thing will work - it's hard to assess anything you're hearing if you have no idea who the person is. Another neat little thing I'm picking up from these charts is how hugely successful some of the less talked about people are, and how some of the more well known people don't do so well on a day to day basis. I won't go into the negatives here, but on the positive side it's pretty impressive to see Liliboas rocking 859 DLs in the last 24 hour update.

Yeah i always thought its stupid than people think peopleshots do best DNY is another example that clearly shows that no people shots are needed DNY and Lili certainly have some skills but looking at the files they sold best recently there is nothing special about it (an isolated tree or isolated christmas-stuff for example) everyone can do stuff like this no great models or special skills are needed for that.
On the other Hand i'm amazed how a high profile shooter like Kevin Russ (with over 9000files) or mammamart obviously make a lot less than me.
