How can you get your istockphoto portfolio to show up on Getty images?
If you're exclusive, get your photos into the Exclusive Plus collection and they'll be mirrored over. You only get 20% for Getty sales, even if your iS rate is higher.
They promised a few years back that all exclusive editorial images would be mirrored over. Only a small proportion were mirrored and were labelled as 'unreleased creative', which sounds dodgy, rather than 'editorial'.
Otherwise your pics will be seen by those buyers who are Premium Access scheme only. As it stands at the moment.

Text from one of the exclusive contributors:

"PUNISHMENT FOR BEING EXCLUSIVE (S+ nonsense)
I don’t want to talk about the lack of any logic behind selecting what is good for S+ and what’s not. I just want to point out one thing which makes me feel very bad as an exclusive contributor.
Last winter we went with my friend to a beatiful location and we were shooting the same scene. He is not exclusive on iStock (just started with photography) and he was shooting with point and shoot camera. He spent 5 minutes in Lightroom and upload everything to EyeEm. All images were mirrored to Getty images and he already sold them for 100$ a piece.
I was shooting with more than 6000$ worth equipment, spent hours and hours in Lightroom and nominated everything for S+. Of course nothing was good enough so nothing was mirrored to Getty. I got few sales from 0.6 - 0.25 cents...
In one year he got more images on Getty than me even with 90% less uploads. And he can still sell all the stuff on 20 other agencies.
You can also see people who were exclusive few years ago on iStock how they are posting on Facebook how much they got from Getty / EyeEm.
Understand that if you can....
...my motivation is almost on a zero level."

I believe that no matter where you sit, the grass is always greener on the other side.

I believe that no matter where you sit, make a plan and work it. If that plan is not working for "yourself" then shift gears and make another plan and work it.

I believe constantly juggling images from one site to the next and/or closing accounts and/or not submitting etc is only chasing rainbows and counter productive.

I believe constantly whining on this forum is a disservice.

I believe that if one has watched the polls on the right for years and years that Istock exclusive has always exceeded the Big 4 and Middle Tier.

Good analysis!  well said. Yes I am seriously thinking of putting the entire port with IS-exclusive!  I mean whats there to lose? none of the agencies are producing anything extraordinary and going with IS saves a lot of uploading to various places. Perhaps best to just have to concentrate on one single outlet in micro that is. with RM its only one agency anyway.
