I just noticed this new feature from Istock. It's at the top right of your home page, since not so long. "Live Help". I remember 123RF having a feature like this, that I used 2 times successfully and 1 time without being able to chat with someone.

I just look quickly on the Istock forum and here. I can't find an announcement for this. Anyone can link or answer these questions

Is there anyone who tried using this for solving a problem yet? Is it mostly designer oriented? Are they superman/women that resolve every glitches? Can I use them when I am bored, want to talk to someone or as psychologist?

I read the thread last week when it went live. No, I don't think there was an announcement, but don't know for sure. When I read through the thread, there were still issues with it appearing and disappearing at the top of the page. It also was in the left column, too.

I saw it all day today, but right now when I went to IS page, it's not showing at the top of the page. Something about if no one is manning it, it disappears off the page or something?

I think in the thread a few people mentioned they went over just to say hi.

Several of us tried to suggest something needs to be there all the time, available or not, but for some reason they like it to go on and off.

I use it few times on 123 but always was talking about that they are service for buyers but even so it is they solve my problems like forwarding my request to support which are maybe in the same room or next door.
For iStock I dont see something like this only too much mashed gues which after 3 years I realise that is some kind of crown, flame or other rediculous stuff...  ;D

Pssst dont tell to OldHippie about that, it is our own rubbie  ;D

I met the same person guy at live help on Thinkstockphotos and Pumpaudio :) Seems like they have several persons in live help for all Getty sites

Yes, I remember that discussion. When it's not there, I automatically think it isn't working so they pulled it off. Yes, something like a little radio tower next to it indicating that it is live and transmitting would be more helpful.

That's nothing that is evaluated - it's just for your profile. It's more of a sort of fun thing - you don't even have to answer those questions.  ;)

That's nothing that is evaluated - it's just for your profile. It's more of a sort of fun thing - you don't even have to answer those questions.  ;)

Oh, well that's a different set of questions! These you do have to answer to get accepted. You should be able to answer them yourself if you're serious about istock. Is your English the problem? Istock's site is available in a variety of languages, if that's any help.

Most of the answers look correct to me, there are 3 that I disagree with but I don't want to give all the answers away, as I am sure istock wont like that but they don't allow upsizing.  That might help with one answer.

You have to answer the questions yourself. If you don't know the answers then you need to learn a little more before you apply to iStock. Having someone else answer the questions for you is just going to result in more frustration for you because you have to understand the basics of what iStock wants and accepts yourself otherwise you'll be faced with lots of rejections.

It comes and gos, depending on whether there is anyone available to help. So when it's not there, you can't use it. sjlocke tried to get them to change it so it's always there, but if it's on, some radio waves show or some other icon to let us know it's live, instead of making it go away. Apparently they thought this was the better way to go.
