-28.27 % actually thought it was worse than that (feels like it Smiley

ordering by gain/loss shows some impressive gains and some devasting losses.  the number of exclusive gold and diamond people with >50% loss reminds me never to go exclusive.

wow, Yuri has just over 1000 downloads in 24hrs and sjlocke almost 700.

one way to fix (or at least help) the copying problem is to remove the ability to see how many downloads an image has and the sort by downloads.  of course every site that has this ability has been told this 1000's of times Smiley

...I'd also like to point out that I think iStock should block this. No one should have to put up with their financial information being spread all over the internet in such detail.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it istock that makes this possible through the API?

With a little sadness, I noticed this contributors downloads are increasing quite a bit. Hw would have been pleased were he alive.

No, they are data scraping the contributor pages daily, from what I understand.

LOL... One search result on IS give 150 results. 12 images are mine. What better search results you want to get. . I found like 8 other subjects sometimes whorty sometimes not only on IS. Continue in the way you use if it's working, but I will continue my way. I can't compete in the people category, so I try to fill the holes

I didn't say that I make my living by imitating others, I just said that plenty of other people do and at the moment it pays well.
I personally think that sites should stop weighting age so much in the algorithms, this would do a lot to stop people imitating so much.

On the other point, having 100% of the images in a search result no one searches still wouldn't bring in any cash. Plenty of SEO companies make their names exploiting the fact that people don't get this.

how do you get your data removed from the charts? just curious as some people aren't listed but I can't see an easy way to request removal.

You can sitemail multimedia_de (on iStock) and ask to be made anonymous; your figures may still be included but no identification.
Thanks!

It seems that Lise Gagne has been removed from the list: Yuri is now #1  Cheesy

Looks like some people have started being completely delisted without even question marks. No sign of LG when sorted by total sales.

Yes, I don't know if that's a bug or what.

Her sales are still in the total downloads though, a drop of 800,000+ would be obvious if not...

I believe she took action to have her stats completely removed (not just made "anonymous"). I don't think it's a bug, and she isn't the only one.

Sorry we misunderstood ourself a couples of times. On copying I said "continue the way you use if it's working" without saying the way you are working... I don't know it anyway.

On search placement I said "I found subjects.. sometimes whorty sometimes not". I wouln't obviously lost my time shooting non stock worthy subjects.

Sorry for being blurry

Now that's interesting.

Actually I agree with that, I think it's right that multimedia_de should remove the contributor completely if requested.

Though the stats are of course still accessible to anyone building a similar application, unless and until iStock should decide to prevent it.

I followed her by coincidence because one image of her interfered with my best selling.  I was amazed she had such an amount of dl's with such average portfolio.

Average?Huh HUH?

I see others like Sean (SJLocke) have put in their comments, but i have got to stick up for my good buddy here. I'll simply say this. She is in that position simply because her portfolio speaks for itself. An "average" portfolio (like mine LOL) will not get 150k+ downloads. To call her portfolio "average" is just an inaccurate choice of words.

Sorry I'm late to this conversation - have been very busy working on my website and ignoring my stock stuff.

I wish that all sites ceased publishing individual sales data.

I wish all sites would have a double login, one for uploading and one for financial. Those working with assistants will know what I mean. I particularly hate that big fat $ number total earnings in the right top corner on every page in Dreamstime, especially in this poor Asian country where even the President doesn't grasp the difference between gross income and net profit.  Roll Eyes
