Not sure how Deep Meta works, but Sue is probably referring to the fact that iStock earnings don't get released on ESP until around the 20th of the Month.

this info (I didn't notice before) could be found here: https://contributors.gettyimages.com/HelpArticle.aspx?article_id=5389

abstract:

Royalties / Earnings / Account Balance

Royalties, earnings and contributor account balances are now calculated and reported monthly, so real time information is not available.

Royalty Statements are published on the 20th of each month. You will see what you have sold and what you have earned and can download that data.

If your earnings for the month exceed your minimum payment threshold, then you will receive your payout on the 25th of each month.

If your account balance does not exceed your minimum payment threshold, then the current balance will be carried forward and show as such on future statements until you are eligible for payout.

first month istock is surpassing shutter stock if i apply a 0,38% commission as if i were exclusive. with the actual commission of non exclusive is a good month and jujuly looks even better.

There is no 0,38% exclusive, it's 35% (or 25%, or 30%, or 40%, and I think Yu-know who gets 45%).
Also, you can't assume you'd get the same number of sales, because if exclusive, your files are 3x more expensive than indie files, and many buyers will buy the indie files unless they can really see a 3x value, or your subject matter is unique. Several people have reported falling sales when becoming exclusive, and several of them have said the increased % didn't make up for it. That being the case, I suppose I should be astonished that any of mine sell at all! (The most disappointing for me has been the low-supply, low demand files which used to do well for me there, but not at all since esp. Not sure why these in particular have stopped selling*, as in so many cases, there are <5, sometimes all mine, so it can't be the best match algorithm. Other sudden falls/stop in particular image sales can be put down to best match or increased competition or both.)
*How could I have forgotten about the 'disappeared keywords' fiasco? I've sent them dozens already to restore, but I probably have hundreds more to find. But the process is so very long and for the tiny rpd, is it worth my time?

Much lower than previous month. It seems the most volatile segment is "roaylty free still".

I think it's funny that my RPD for this year is now 50c exactly.  :) That's all kinds of things, music, illustrations, released, unreleased, Editorial... Since I only care about actual income, this is just "interesting" from an Indy standpoint. Income is down but that's a personal issue due to changes in available content.

Didn't Thinkstock close? Anyone else finding better or worse since then?

I heard that Thinkstock closed.
In June i had no Thinkstock sub sales, but some Thinkstock ext sales. Whatever this means.

What I mean is, over the next few months, we should be able to see the effects of closing a flat sub part of the business, and I'll assume the some sales will now go to Getty or iStock. I think we should be making more RPD there? Unless of course the other alternative, buyers move to AS or SS.

Just worth watching as ThinkStock is going away.

For the first time this year my iS income is higher than it was for the same month last year... but I'll have to wait to see if one swallow makes a summer.

I presume they're hoping to migrate ThinkStock buyers to Premium Access, and I'd guess they've been doing that pretty successfully as TS subs came up for renewal. Well, that's what I'd guess if Getty were a business-savvy company, anyway.
